Patternodes is a tool for creating graphical vector patterns, animations or illustrations. This is done using a node-based interface where you define a sequence of connected nodes that describe the design, each representing graphical elements, changes or repetitions. You might call this a sort of parametric design or visual scripting for 2d applications.

The node sequence is completely non-destructive, so you can change any step in the sequence at any time without having to redo the rest. The parameters that control each node can also be connected to other nodes, establishing complex relationships, or animated to create animations.

Patternodes is designed from the start to stimulate playful use and experimentation. Therefore the result is always shown in the preview view, repeated for patterns and updating in real time.

Main changes in Patternodes 2

  • Fewer more versitile nodes. Many node types have been combined into more capable ones. This will let you do more with fewer nodes and make it easier to try new things and play around with the software without having to replace or add new nodes.
  • SVG export. Support for exporting both static vectors and animations to SVG format.
  • Change node apply-modes. Most of the nodes changing graphics (like changing color or transformation) now have built in support to toggle between applying their change to the group, each individual element in the group, or a selected subset of elements in the group. This replaces many array operation nodes and removes the need for a lot of splitting and combining you had to do in Patternodes 1.
  • More powerful nodes. More or less every node, for creating shapes, transforming or repeating elements have had little additions and improvements to enable new uses and improve existing functionality.
  • Improved usability. Many improvements to make the basic tasks of editing values and working with nodes and connections smoother and quicker.
  • New artboard node with layers. The old document and output nodes have been combined into a single Artboard output node with multiple output layers along with artboard size and settings.
  • Language and naming changes. Many concepts have been renamed to be more in line with industry standards and/or common language to make them easier to understand. For example, the old Transform nodes are now called Change nodes and the old Array Elements are now simply called Groups.
  • Improved animation exports. Support for exporting longer animations at higher resolutions in more formats and at higher quality.
  • Dynamic elements mode in repeaters. Letting you base element properties on random or index-based values when generating a repeater pattern.

What’s New in PatterNodes 2.2.7

  • Improved Text element node with support for dynamic value based text and a new Text box mode with for better aligning and layout control. NOTE: This may mean some layout changes are needed for files using the old text node multi-line mode.
  • Improved Clipping mask node now has an invert option that lets you use what’s outside the clipping mask instead, and can be used to remove existing clipping paths.
  • Math nodes now resize automatically to fit longer formulas.
  • Fixes a bug where clicking out of the Artboard node size fields would revert values instead of applying changes.
  • Leaving value fields empty now set them to 0 instead of showing a formula parsing error.
  • Fixes a couple of issues with importing legacy Patternodes 1 files.
  • Fixes bug with renaming artboard layers in some situations.
  • Fixed a bug where the animation duration would initially be incorrect when loading longer animation files.
  • You can now access pictures from your Photos albums when browsing to import graphics.
  • Improved performance.

Scherlokk is a lightning fast file search utility built for precise and reliable search of every file that meets the search criteria. Music, pictures, bookmarks, documents, etc. can be found quickly and easily. Search can be done on any kind of built-in volume, portable volume (memory cards, USB drives), network drive (AFP, SMB, FTP), Thunderbolt or Firewire device (CD/DVD, external HDD, slave computer), etc. It does not matter if the searched file is hidden or system. The file does not even need to be indexed by OS X to be found by Scherlokk. Specify the kind of searched file(s) (music, movie, picture, etc.) or some of the file attributes (size, date, etc.). For documents or data files, content can be specified. When searching with size range, Scherlokk calculates and displays all folders which fit in the range.

1Password is a popular tool for storing usernames, passwords, credit cards, addresses, notes, bank accounts, driver’s licenses, passports, and more behind one master password, with end-to-end encryption. The latest version of the popular password manager is a major update with dozens of new features and improvements, including a new dark-themed, collapsible sidebar that makes it easier to use and manage password vaults.

FEATURES

The Supercomp Panel

Supercomp’s dockable UI makes it easy to do complex compositing through clear visual feedback. Supercomp’s layers are easy to read at a glance, with intuitive icons for each effect. Quickly access the complete set of effects through a convenient radial menu for fast application and results.

Preview Fine Detail

Often, effects like Light Wrap are almost too subtle to see, especially with so many other effects applied to a layer. With the Supercomp Panel, you can view your full composite, or you can drill all the way down to a single selected effect, making it possible to see and alter small details for better results. Supercomp gives you a visual preview that delivers contextual feedback at every level.

Context-Aware Effects

Unlike standard After Effects layers and effects, in Supercomp, all layers and effects applied are aware of changes to the other layers in your composite. Adjustments will ripple throughout your composite, altering any pixels that should be affected by those changes. Swap out a background, or change the order of your layers, and all light wraps, diffusions, haze, etc., will automatically change with it — no need to hunt through multiple After Effects comps, layers, and effects.

Supercomp Layers

Supercomp supports three different layer types: Normal, Additive, and Displacement. Each layer type has its own set of effects and presets. You can also specify the gamma (log, video, and more) of your layer, which makes it easy to combine elements from different sources and cameras.

Presets

Setting up a complex composite is now as simple as a single click. With Layer Presets, you can apply multiple Supercomp effects at once to get a starting point or even an instant final result. Audition presets with the visual preview, then apply. Tweak a setting or two to taste, and, if you like, save and share your own presets.

Animation

Most controls in Supercomp can be animated. Just right-click on a parameter and select Add Keyframe. The control then appears in the After Effects timeline, where you can keyframe it, or even add expressions.

32-bit Floating Point HDR

No matter what the bit-depth of your After Effects project, Supercomp always works in 32-bit float, with proper gamma management. That means that your composites will look realistic and seamless, without any clipped highlights or color artifacts.

GPU Acceleration

All 17 of the effects in Supercomp are GPU-Accelerated, giving you fast feedback and renders.
Easy Pickup and Handoff

No more having to remember what you did when opening an older project, or trying to figure out what someone else did when you inherit a project. Supercomp’s clear visual feedback makes it simple to understand a project’s makeup so you can get jump right in and tweak.

Color Correction

Often a difference in the color of layers is what stands between you and a good composite. Supercomp offers a powerful Color Correction effect designed specifically for VFX compositing. Once you set your black level, no subsequent adjustments will alter the black values of the layer.

When you run the installer writes “The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again”.

TotalSpaces is a desktop manager that brings back grid Spaces to OS X and more!

TotalSpaces2 provides a grid of spaces on your Mac. An easy to use 2D grid of desktops. Navigate using the cursor keys (by default together with SHIFT-ALT), choose your transitions, and quickly access a birds eye view of your grid of spaces where you can manage your application windows. You can even give your spaces names.

One of the most useful features of TotalSpaces2 is that it allows you to assign certain applications to particular Spaces. This means that if you have a 3×3 grid, you can ensure that your Twitter client is always in the top left space and that your email client is always in the middle right.

Switching between applications using Command Tab, by default, displays the applications in the order they have been most recently used. this means that your email client may require a different number of Tab presses each time you switch to it. By using TotalSpaces2 to assign it to a specific position in a grid, you can rapidly and reliably switch to it at will.

TotalSpaces2 is especially useful on smaller screened devices, such as the MacBook Air line. On larger screens it is possible to display two programs side by side, however, on 13″ and smaller screens, things become very cramped if you try this.

What’s New in NeoFinder 7.5

New features and enhancements:

  • Catalog, display, edit, create and export custom metadata or annotation fields for photos and videos
  • The iView Importer can read these custom annotations as well
  • Find Faces will find all thumbnails in a catalog containing a face, and display a green rectangle in the Inspector as well (can be turned off in the Inspector Settings)
  • AutoUpdater has been massively expanded. It can run schedules on specific weekdays, or when a volume is mounted, or when NeoFinder is launched
  • NeoFinder 7.5 is certified to run in macOS 10.15. We still very highly recommend to wait with the update to macOS 10.15 at least until 10.15.5 is released next year
  • NeoFinder is “notarized”, which Apple promises is supposed increase the security. Or so
  • Icon View can display up to 3 lines of metadata or annotations, and you can chose what you want to see
  • Photo Contact Sheet also uses up to 3 freely selectable metadata lines
  • NeoFinder can use Aliases in the Database Folder pointing to other folders (Business License only)
  • Edit EXIF dates in photos, to adjust time offsets, and more
  • Play a selected video in Gallery View by pressing the Space key, directly inside the NeoFinder window!
