You can also identify channel conflicts, overlapping or configuration issues that may be affecting the connectivity and performance of your home, office or enterprise wireless networks.
Designed for WLAN and IT professionals
WiFi Explorer has been developed with the support and feedback of the WLAN community. Ease of use and advanced features, such as the ability to decode information elements, AP name discovery or enhanced filtering, give professionals a full insight into the capabilities and configuration details of wireless networks.
Do more than finding wireless networks
WiFi Explorer Pro’s spectrum analysis integration lets you visualize RF information and correlate it with Wi-Fi data to identify non-802.11 energy sources and better understand the effects of interference and channel utilization on your wireless network. Compatible spectrum analyzers:
A new scan mode that allows you to listen for encapsulated 802.11 packets generated by APs in sniffer or monitor mode. It supports PEEKREMOTE (Cisco, Aruba) and TZSP (MikroTik) encapsulation formats.
Support for importing capture files containing encapsulated 802.11 packets using the PEEKREMOTE or TZSP encapsulation formats.
Ability to identify and display the information of Pwnagotchi devices.
Option to show/hide column separator lines (see View > Show Column Separator Lines).
Fixed
An issue when parsing radio information reported by certain Wi-Fi adapters when using remote sensors.
An issue when resolving the vendor name of certain virtual BSSIDs generated by Meraki APs.
Simple, straightforward user interface WiFi Signal is a system menu bar application that provides easy access to your Wi-Fi connection details, monitors the signal quality of your network, and can find and recommend alternative channels to avoid conflicts or signal overlapping with nearby wireless networks that may affect the connectivity and performance of your connection.
Fully customizable status display The space in your system menu bar is precious. WiFi Signal lets you choose, by using a display pattern, what information you want to display, how you want it displayed and in what order. When you define your own display pattern you can, for example, use only the raw values for signal strength or include everything you need. Also, if you consider the signal strength indicator (the bars) unnecessary or redundant, you can choose to hide it when using a display pattern.
Notifications and event logging WiFi Signal will log and notify you about common Wi-Fi events, such as when the computer joins or disconnects from a network, moves (roams) to a different access point, or when transmit data rate or channel configuration changes are detected. In addition, you can choose to be notified if the signal strength or Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) drops below a given threshold.

Fixed privacy issue in macOS Catalina 10.15 where the system would prompt the user permission for the app to receive keystrokes. WiFi Explorer Pro does not track your keystrokes. The permission was being requested because of the the app was unintentionally registering to monitor all HID devices, including input devices such as keyboards, when it should have been only registering to monitor certain HID devices (e.g. spectrum analyzers).
Fixed issue when switching between system appearances in macOS Catalina 10.15.
