What’s New in Audio Hijack 3.6.0

  • Audio Hijack’s tracking of physical input and output devices has been overhauled and dramatically improved. It will now better handle issues caused by many USB audio devices. Audio Hijack will automatically track devices across restarts and between ports on your computer, so fewer adjustments are necessary.
  • The Source selector, found in the Application input block, has been updated and improved. It’s now easier to capture audio from the Finder and Text to Speech, with the new “Special Sources” section of the Source selector. Other minor interface improvements have been made as well.
  • Audio Hijack now has preliminary compatibility with MacOS 10.15 (Catalina).
  • The backend Audio Capture Engine (ACE) has been updated to 11.0.1, with preliminary MacOS 10.15 (Catalina) compatibility, as well as other fixes and improvements. ACE is now required to use Audio Hijack. If it is not currently installed, you’ll be prompted to install it at launch.
  • On MacOS 10.14 (Mojave) and higher, Audio Hijack now offers general Dark Mode support on windows throughout the app.
  • The Declick, Dehum, and Denoise plugins have been overhauled and modernized. The new versions of these blocks can now be found in the Advanced section of the block library. For more details, see the “Advanced Blocks” section of the manual.
  • Auto-splitting files based on time now has millisecond precision, so splits are much more precise.
  • When adjusting an Input or Output Device block that is in an error state because a device has disappeared, changes made will now immediately take effect, even if the session is actively running.
  • The buffer size used while recording has been increased, to prevent very rare cases where an over-stressed machine (or disk) could drop audio. If an error does still occur, it will now be logged.
  • The Application source block now better handles applications with unconventional application names.
  • An improvement has been made for session names imported from the old Audio Hijack Pro.
  • The Broadcast block has been updated to plug a memory leak, and save CPU by doing smarter time formatting.
  • Updates have been made to track titles used by the Broadcast block, to fix a bug where large image art captured by the Track Title system in the Broadcast block could cause audio drop outs, and better capture metadata by using a separate process.
  • Audio Hijack works to properly handle third-party Audio Unit plugins on Catalina. Apple now requires third-party Audio Unit plugins to be properly signed and notarized, causing many older plugins to fail to load on Catalina. The developers of these individual plugins will need to issue properly signed updates to their plugins.
  • Audio Hijack now requires MacOS 10.12 (Sierra) or higher. If you’re still on 10.11 (or lower), be sure to see our Legacy page.
  • Audio Hijack’s Help menu now includes a useful new Release Notes window, so you can see changes across all versions from right inside the app.
  • On Catalina, Audio Hijack works to replace the now-defunct iTunes with the new Music.app in all relevant places.
  • Audio Hijack’s Preferences window has been updated for consistency across all Rogue Amoeba apps.
  • A new wizard has been added to Audio Hijack for installing, updating, and removing ACE (among other things). It includes the “Quick Tour” to provide a helpful overview of the application. It will also present update notes on the first launch of a new version, and intelligently warn if uninstalling ACE will impact other applications.
  • Audio Hijack’s help manual has been improved and streamlined.
  • The look of messages displayed by Audio Hijack has been modernized.
  • The About box has been updated to provide additional version information in an easy-to-read fashion.
  • Audio Hijack now has two one-shot notices for a sub-set of older users. On first launch, users on Catalina who have active third-party Audio Units will receive one notice, while users on any OS with active Declick, Dehum, or Denoise blocks will receive another.
  • The “old-style hijacker” option has been removed from Audio Hijack’s Hidden Preferences.

What’s New in BBEdit 13.0

Additions:

  • The “Pattern Playground” window provides an interactive interface for experimenting with the behavior of Grep patterns (regular expressions). This makes the process of creating complicated patterns much less trial-and-error, since you can see exactly what will match, and how, before committing to any irreversible actions.
  • A complete description of the pattern playground is in the Pattern Playground Notes.
  • Added the Grep Cheat Sheet. This appears as a popup menu button in the Find, Multi-File Search, and Pattern Playground windows; as well as in the “Process Lines Containing”, “Process Duplicates”, and “Sort Lines” dialog boxes. The button pops up a menu that provides some common Grep pattern idioms and brief descriptions; choosing one will insert it literally into the pattern and select it (replacing anything that has been selected). In the Find and Multi-File Search windows, choosing an item from the cheat sheet also turns on the “Grep” option.
  • BBEdit allows you to make rectangular selections in documents for which “Soft Wrap Text” is turned on. Note that the rectangular selections are made in the actual text, not in the visual representation; and so if the rectangular selection crosses a wrapped line, the wrapped portion of the line will not be highlighted.
  • When editing the search string in the Find window, any matches for it will highlight in the “target” document window (usually the one immediately behind the window). (This works for Grep patterns too, as long as the pattern is valid.) This allows basic previewing of the effects of a Find All or Replace All operation.
  • There are two new commands on the “Select” submenu of the Edit menu:
  • Highlighted Matches: selects matches found using the “Display instances of selected text” feature.
  • Live Search Results: selects matches found while searching using the Live Search feature. (Note that this is only available while keyboard focus is in the Live Search search box.)
  • “Find & Select All” on the Search menu does what it says: based on the current search string and options, it will select all matches for the string (or pattern, if grep is turned on). This may also be used from within the Find window.
  • The “Appearance” preferences have been changed: the old “Match application appearance to selected editor color scheme” setting is gone. All the confusion and weirdness involving color schemes and Dark Mode has been swept away. In its place is a much simpler setting: “Application Appearance”. Each respective setting does what it says on the tin:
  • “Use system appearance”: follow the setting in the “General” system preferences. If you are using “Automatic” on macOS Catalina, the application will change accordingly.
  • “Light”: uses the Light appearance, even if the General system preference is set to Dark (or the system has been set to dark mode automatically).
  • “Dark”: uses the Dark appearance, even if the General system preference is set to Light (or the system has been set to light mode automatically).

  • Protect Your Data: BetterZip can protect your data with a password and create AES256 encrypted archives. 7zip and rar archives can also be protected.
  • Update Archives: Add new or updated files to existing archives. Remove any file or folder from an archive, or even move files around inside the archive as if it were a normal folder.
  • Make Archives Compatible: Strip Macspecific files and resource forks from archives for best compatibility with systems like Windows or Linux.

By accessing the Catalog tab, you can easily view a list with all your items, add or remove an item and provide a title, description and price before including it into an item group.

At the same time, GrandTotal’s Layouts tab provides you with the option to create personalized layouts for your invoices and estimates.

Insert QR codes, logos and other graphical elements in your documents with extreme ease

As an added bonus, the GrandTotal application also comes with a couple of templates that you can download from within the app and customize based on your needs.

Furthermore, GrandTotal’s edit toolbar helps you insert text boxes, images, logos, rectangles, PayPal logos and QR codes within your invoices, while the bottom toolbar allows you to zoom in or out the page to get a birds eye view of you documents.

Accessibility

Apple believes technology is most powerful when it empowers everyone. With macOS Catalina, Apple is introducing new assistive technologies to help every user get the most out of their Mac. Voice Control is a transformative technology that enables users who can’t operate traditional input devices to control their Mac entirely with their voice using on-device Siri speech recognition technology, which also ensures personal data is kept private. New labels and grids let users interact with virtually any app using comprehensive navigation tools, with audio processing happening on-device. Security

Accurate and Intelligent

During the research phase of Addictive Trigger, users around the world reported that accurate hit detection is absolutely critical when using drum replacement plugins. Unfortunately, existing triggering technologies tend to have shortcomings that require lots of manual tweaking and correction.

We endeavor to make products that are better than what is currently available, and we ended up creating an entirely new method for drum hit detection called Audio Fingerprint. Our new system uses FFT analysis to accurately identify drum sounds even if there is a lot of mic bleed or background noise in the source material. It’s fast, it’s accurate, and we think it’ll change the way you work with live-recorded drums.

What is Audio Fingerprint?

Typical drum replacement tools rely on rudimentary filtering and transient detection, resulting in many false triggers and missed hits. Audio Fingerprint solves this problem by using a novel FFT-based matching system. It is so accurate, it usually has no trouble detecting lightly played ghost notes from background noise while simultaneously rejecting mic bleed and other unwanted sounds.

In addition to detecting low level ghost notes with great accuracy, our Audio Fingerprint system can also differentiate between different stroke types that are played at similar velocities (for example, sidestick and open snare hits). This lets Addictive Trigger play back the correct articulations of samples, even if the incoming source material has different kinds of drum hits with similar peak levels.

Setting and fine-tuning detection parameters can be painfully tedious work. SuperStart eliminates the need to do this by listening to your source material and automatically providing suitable detection settings. In most cases, this is all you need to get accurate drum detection happening on your tracks. This lets you spend more of your time on creative things like dialing in the perfect drum sounds.

X Lossless Decoder(XLD) is a tool for Mac OS X that is able to decode/convert/play various ‘lossless’ audio files. The supported audio files can be split into some tracks with cue sheet when decoding. It works on Mac OS X 10.4 and later.

XLD is Universal Binary, so it runs natively on both Intel Macs and PPC Macs.

XLD supports various output formats. It can convert audio files into WAVE, AIFF, Raw PCM, Ogg Vorbis (aoTuV), MPEG-4 AAC (QuickTime/CoreAudio), MP3 (LAME), Apple Lossless, FLAC, HE-AAC (aacPlus v1/v2), Wave64, WavPack, and IETF Opus.

XLD version 20080812 and later can be used as a CD ripper. You can convert each track in your audio CD into the desired format. Also, XLD supports output a CD image with a cue sheet (wav+cue, flac+cue, etc).

WiFi scanner

From AirRadar’s main window you easily scan for nearby open and password protected wireless networks with just a couple of mouse clicks.

All discovered networks are displayed in an easy-to-read list that you can sort according to the SSID name, Signal strength, Signal average and maximum power, Noise level, Channel number, Encryption type, last seen data, BSSID and specifications.

Thanks to the context menu you can open the Details window, join the network, add it to Favorites or delete it from the list.

Network information grabber

By accessing AirRadar’s Details window, you can view detailed information about the selected network. Hence, you can view the channel frequency, encryption method, discovery date, Vendor name and more.

The Graph tab helps you visualize the signal strength and noise level over a certain period of time. You can even use the Comment section to write down observations, notes or warnings.

Intuitive interface

The top toolbar helps you load or save a network list, join the selected network, disconnect from the WiFi, add the network to your Favorite list or Filter and stop the scanning process.

Handy assistant

You can use the Network Setup Assistant to determine which WiFi channel you should use after scanning the local area for nearby networks within range. A list with suggested low-traffic channels will be provided at the end of the scanning process.

What is more, AirRadar automatically groups the discovered networks according to different criteria. Consequently, you can use them as filters to find open networks, secure networks, Wireless N and Generic Networks.

Installation

Although cracking iZotope is not a difficult job, we took a time to make it “better” in many meanings, just install and enjoy ?

  • Simplified custom installer
  • Pre iLok Authorization without iLok driver
  • Seperate component installer (No installation collision like orignal)
  • No installation info disappearing like original
  • Better compression than original
  • Faster installation than original

You CAN mix new R2R releases with others, but NOT RECOMMENDED, since new iZotope installer has some issues we listed above. You should install R2R releases only, to take the best advantage.

If you want to clean up old iZotope releases before starting installing new R2R releases,

  1. Uninstall iZotope products.
  2. Delete RegKey HKCUSoftwareiZotope
  3. Done, let’s start clean iZotope life and
  4. Stay away from official installers.

You can tweak the color and tone of your photo with precision, including advanced controls for Shadows and Highlights.

6. Graduated Filters

It’s easier now than ever before to make specific details in an image pop! Landscape and travel photographers will love being able to adjust the sky and foreground independently. Plus we offer powerful options to control the transition between the adjustments (even allowing a neutral zone). You can easily move and rotate the graduated filter into precise position.

Once placed you can target specific areas for editing. All of our finishing tools plus our target sky and foliage enhancers work with the Graduated filter. Boost the vibrancy of a blue sky, darken the foreground and enhance the foliage––all without changing the main focus of your image!

7. Stylistic Vignette and Radial Filters
