Goto Anything.

Kodak Preps 8.0 New features and enhancements:

Save a layout with Independent Page as a Custom Fold Pattern
You can now save a Custom Fold Pattern with a section that includes independent pages. When adding these fold patterns to a Press Run, you will be prompted to set the independent page properties.

Preps can now define subsections (or ribbons) in Custom Fold Patterns. This means that you can use Preps to create a multi-web layout, save it as a custom fold pattern, and then generate a web press run with the custom fold pattern.

New Print menu and Preferences for Job Layout Report

You can now set output defaults for layout reports.

Remove marks through JDF import process

If you are working with Preps templates that have marks already defined on templates/signatures, you now have the ability to remove all existing marks through the JDF import process. You can then use SmartMarks based on marks rules to replace them.

New shortcut keys for inserting a new web and duplicating an existing web

Disconnect Shingling/Bottling rules from Stock (Substrate) resource property

The Auto Shingling and Bottling rules are now defined in Resources > Shingling and Bottling Rules Editor, rather than being defined as a Stock (Substrate) resource property. This means that you no longer need to define multiple Stock (Substrate) resource properties for this purpose. In the new Shingling and Bottling Rules Editor, you will have all the same abilities defined in the Stock (Substrate) resource, plus additional fields to define a range of the Stock (Substrate) paper weight and caliper. An Auto Shingling and Bottling rule will be triggered when a Stock (Substrate) resource that fits the range is specified.

New Profile switch to allow users to enable AutoShingling

You have two ways to apply the Auto Shingling and Bottling rules: manually (in a Job Layout Details dialog box) or automatically.

To apply the rule automatically, in your Preps profile, set -AUTOSHINGLING and -AUTOBOTTLING to YES. When new jobs are created, the Auto Shingling and Auto Bottling will be automatically set in the Job Layout Details dialog box. The default is NO, so that you can control the use of Auto Shingling at a job level, as needed.

New mark capability to allow for marks only on the Preps Job Layout Report

You can now edit a SmartMark setting for placing marks on press runs that allows you to restrict the mark to printing only on the Job layout report. The mark will not print on the production layout.

New collation marks for Mixed Binding styles

When your production includes signatures made up from different binding styles—for example, you have two perfect bound signatures that are made up from three saddle stitched signatures each–you can now use Mixed Binding collation marks. In the example, the perfect bound signatures are the top level and each will get a signature number for the collation mark. The saddle stitched signatures get the same signature number as the parent and a tic line below indicating its number within the parent signature.

  • Command Palette. The Command Palette holds infrequently used functionality, like sorting, changing the syntax, and changing the indentation settings. With just a few keystrokes, you can search for what you want, without ever having to navigate through the menus or remember obscure key bindings. Show the Command Palette with ⌘⇧P.
  • Distraction-Free Mode. When you need to focus, Distraction-Free Mode is there to help you out. Distraction-Free Mode is full-screen, chrome-free editing, with nothing but your text in the center of the screen. You can incrementally show elements of the UI, such as tabs and the find panel, as you need them. You can enter Distraction Free Mode using the View/Enter Distraction Free Mode menu.
  • Split Editing. Get the most out of your wide-screen monitor with split-editing support. Edit files side-by-side, or edit two locations in the one file. You can edit with as many rows and columns as you wish. Take advantage of multiple monitors by editing with multiple windows, and using multiple splits in each window. Take a look at the View/Layout menu for split-editing options. To open multiple views into the one file, use the File/New View into File menu item.
  • Instant Project Switch. Projects in Sublime Text capture the full contents of the workspace, including modified and unsaved files. You can switch between projects in a manner similar to Goto Anything, and the switch is instant, with no save prompts. All your modifications will be restored next time the project is opened.
  • Plugin API. Sublime Text has a powerful, Python-based plugin API. Along with the API, it comes with a built-in Python console to interactively experiment in real time.

Partition map errors can cause entire volumes to go missing, or prevent a Mac from booting. If errors are found, they can be repaired usin the Partition Repair tool.
  • Partition Repair – new drive repair tool – Along with Volume Rebuild, which repairs Mac file systems, the Partition Repair tool repairs the remaining portions of the drive which keeps track of the volumes on your hard drive. This includes hidden partitions which keep track of your Mac’s startup process. The Partition Repair tool does just what it says, repairing the partition maps or drives where needed.
  • SMART Check – Now even smarter – Hard drives include a technology called SMART (Self Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) which can inform a computer about the health of its hard drives. In most utilities, just the overall results – passed or failed – are reported to the user. In the failed state, often there is little or no time to back up data before the drive fails entirely. Previous versions of TechTool Pro reported the overall status of each attribute, but some attributes don’t contribute to the failure of a drive. Now, the SMART Check has gotten smarter. TechTool Pro now knows which attributes contribute to drive failure, and will report a failing result before the drive fails completely. Giving you time to rescue your data.

Overview
Sublime Text is a sophisticated text editor for code, markup, and prose. You'll love the slick user interface, extraordinary features, and amazing performance.

Goto Anything. Use Goto Anything to open files with only a few keystrokes, and instantly jump to symbols, lines, or words. Triggered with ⌘P, it is possible to:

・Type part of a file name to open it.
・Type @ to jump to symbols, # to search within the file, and : to go to a line number.

These shortcuts can be combined, so tp@rf may take you to a function read_file within a file text_parser.py. Similarly, tp:100 would take you to line 100 of the same file.

Multiple Selections. Make ten changes at the same time, not one change ten times. Multiple selections allow you to interactively change many lines at once, rename variables with ease, and manipulate files faster than ever. Take a look at the View/Layout menu for split-editing options. To open multiple views into the one file, use the File/New View into File menu item.

Instant Project Switch. Projects in Sublime Text capture the full contents of the workspace, including modified and unsaved files. You can switch between projects in a manner similar to Goto Anything, and the switch is instant, with no save prompts. All your modifications will be restored next time the project is opened.

Plugin API. Sublime Text has a powerful, Python-based plugin API. Along with the API, it comes with a built-in Python console to interactively experiment in real time.

What is FontLab VI?

FontLab VI is our attempt to make the world's best font creation and editing tool. We hope you find it so by the time it is done. It has been years in the making. It represents a complete overhaul of the former FontLab Studio program, most of the code rewritten from scratch, with an entirely new user interface, but with a few core functions based on tested and reliable engines. As an example, while the font generation engine is newish, an earlier version shipped with TransType 4. Overall, there are enough new features that we could reasonably have skipped a version number or even two.

Wait, so you're shipping FontLab VI and it is free?

No. We are making early pre-release builds available for free. The final product will be a commercial release, with upgrade pricing available for previous users of any of our font editors, as well as educational prices for students and teachers.

What does “Preview” mean? What is the state of FontLab VI?

This Preview is neither feature-complete, nor stable enough for serious production use as your primary font editor. It still has major bugs and issues, many of which we haven't even discovered yet. That is part of why we are making it available; we want broad user input from many people, not only to help find bugs, but also to give us feedback on how the app works and user interface decisions.

Known major issues:

Manual TrueType hinting is not yet implemented. (We do have TTFautohint integration, however.)

Multiple master (axis-based, interpolation/extrapolation, MutatorMath) font support is just being integrated now, so expect it to have many issues as it gets developed.

Documentation is still under development, but has some useful info on a few features, and also a full list of keyboard shortcuts.

Python scripting has not had much testing — expect more bugs than elsewhere. Also, the APIs are undocumented. Our ultimate intention is to support both classic FontLab Python scripts with minimal-if-any changes, and also RoboFab-based scripts.

When will FontLab VI ship for real?

We will ship it when it is ready. What is “ready”? The application needs to not be missing any major features that were in FontLab Studio 5. It needs to be stable — without a bunch of crippling bugs. The interface needs to be polished and not be too confusing for people just getting started with FontLab VI, whether they are veteran type designers or new users. Documentation needs to be in a reasonable state. All that remains to be done. So, we are not promising a date, but please know that we are all working very hard on FontLab VI. We want to ship it at least as much as you want to see it!

Right, apologies for the long description but I'm going to try answer everything at once :P 

This is the final Snow Leopard VMware Image I'll be bringing out until the release of 10.6.9 (which I doubt will happen), and with it comes every fix that I've worked on in the past, what? 3 months? Both Intel and AMD processors are supported, with various fixes implemented to accommodate both, without actually changing much from 'stock' 10.6.8 (the kernel is even the same :P). Ideal for running XCode or any other Mac programs, they work as though it was a Mac, and as usual with any of my builds, there's plenty of contact information contained within the torrent should you need me (it's in the torrent so it's not broadcasted online). Oh, and every language Mac OS X supports is also included.

Make sure to watch the video link, because it details how to configure for your preferences (i.e. some stuff won't work unless you configure) and there is also valuable information on it

Works under pretty much all VMware products, only problems you may get are with video and audio (audio is easily fixable whereas video is slightly more complicated).

• Fixed a bug that could cause the backup task to fail with a message asking the user to report the problem.
• Fixed an issue in which the file flags on some system files were not getting preserved when using the "Find and replace corrupted files" option.
• Fixed an issue in which sparse disk image compaction would fail if the disk image was encrypted.
• Addressed an issue in which CCC would errantly report that it was unable to unmount the destination volume.
