Overview

MKV2MP4 is an application that can convert video files in the MKV container format to more compatible MP4 video files.

BLAZING SPEED

MKV2MP4 can convert files so fast because it doesn’t re-encode the video data but just copies it into the more compatible MP4 container format. You can choose in the preferences whether you want highest speed for the audio conversion or the highest compatibility.

PERFECT QUALITY

Because MKV2MP4 just copies the video data into the new container format there is absolutely no loss of quality, the converted files are pixel-perfect copies. Full-HD videos are fully supported.

BATCH CONVERSION

MKV2MP4 can convert hundreds of files at once with it easy-to-use queue system and features convenience options for automatically adding many files without any further work.

CONVENIENT OPTIONS

– Some files (that contain too many ref-frames, 10-bit video or are larger than FullHD) will not play on some devices like the PS3 that don’t support these features.
– MKV2MP4 does not preserve all audio tracks. You can select one audio track to convert and optionally include a surround version of the same language (if available).

Overview

It’s called “Lens Whacking“. Over the years indie filmmakers came up with a way to make incredible optical lighting artifacts inside the camera by removing the lens while shooting, then hovering it over the sensor to allow light to come in, thus creating an on-the-fly dreamy light effect.

Lens Whack is a product that gives you that simulated Lens Whacking effect in post production, without you having to try to focus and film while hovering your lens over the sensor…and you don’t risk breaking anything either!

LENS SKEW

The Lens Skew area of Lens Whack has everything to do with what happens when you take the lens off your camera and hover it over the sensor. When you change the Amount of the effect you increase or decrease the lens distortion, in-focus areas, lens drift, and vignette. Use the on-screen control to change the in-focus point of your footage. If you click the checkbox for Random Drift, the focus point will randomly drift around your footage as if you are creating it by hand. The amount of the drift can be sped up or slowed down and the distance it travels can be changed as well. Finally, you can always choose to have the out of focus areas and distortion turned off if you wish to just see movement of the vignette.

DYNAMIC HAZE

Often times when Lens Whacking, you get variations of light haze spilling onto the sensor because of the variations of light that is happening around you. This section of the effect does just that. Dynamic Haze extracts the light and dark areas of your footage and projects it as forms of light and dark areas. For variation, you can experiment with the X and Y positions as well as the amount of stretch. You can assign colors to the light and dark areas or simply use white for a neutral style of light spill.

LIGHT LEAKS

This is one of our favorite areas. Simple choose a light leak style from the drop down menu to give your footage that extra bit of reality when using Lens Whack. You can adjust the brightness, color, saturation, and even flip it on the X and Y for many variations.

USING LENS WHACK

Once you have installed Lens Whack, you will find it in the Title area of Final Cut Pro X. Simply drag the desired effect and drop it over the video clip you want to affect. Make sure you expand or shrink the title to cover the entirety of the clip…then make the adjustments to the parameters you want in the Title’s inspector window. There are 12 presets and examples to give you some creative ideas and starting points.

Use blend modes to adjust the colour of all or parts of the canvas. Add, subtract, multiply, over, clamp, color, saturation and hue blend modes are supported.

  • Professional lighting software for creating HDRI maps for image based lighting
  • Add, move and edit lights on a latlong rectangular canvas.
  • Lights displayed on the canvas are distorted automatically so that they appear undistorted when projected using a 3D spherical environment map. Three projection types are included for content placed on the canvas: Planar, 3D (LatLong), Spherical.
  • Procedural and image based lighting content including procedural sky.
  • Load BMP, Cineon, HDR, IFF, JPG, OpenEXR, PNG, PSD, Targa, Tiff files as lighting content. For large image files, converting to a mipmapped image format before loading significantly increases performance.
  • Over one hundred high resolution, high dynamic range images of spotlights, softboxes, umbrellas and other light sources are included with HDR Light Studio 5. These can be dragged from the presets panel and dropped onto the 3D model, canvas or light list.
  • Blend modes determine how the lights are composited. Add, Multiply, Over, Low Pass, Color, Saturation, Hue, Amplify are included.
  • Variable sized canvas can be zoomed and panned for precision lighting.
  • Our patented “LightPaint” technology enables you to position lights accurately on the environment map by clicking where you’d like the lighting effect on the 3D model. Rim mode allows quick positioning of light behind your model. This approach removes much of the trial and error of traditional lighting setups.
  • Lights are managed in a list and can be switched off, soloed, reordered and locked. The position in the list determines the order in which the lights are composited on the HDR canvas.
  • Toolbars provide quick access to all light types: Round Light, Rect Light, Hex Light, Gradient Light, Picture Light, Dark Light, Sun Shade, Gradient Background, Picture Background, Sky Background and the Uber Light. Uber Light is a flexible multipurpose light with additional Alpha controls.
  • Frequently used light parameters (brightness, scale, rotation) can be adjusted using a dragable area of the interface.
  • 3D models are rendered and displayed in the Render View window. An optimised renderer is used to provide an instant preview of your lighting design as you add, move, edit and delete lights, or change the surface characteristics of your model. There are options to render with a shadow catcher floor and display a solid color, flat image or the environment map in the background of your shot.
  • Supported 3D model formats: Collada, Mental Images, OBJ, Alembic (time support in seconds) and FBX (Windows only).
  • Flexible user interface with panels that can be docked, undocked, tabbed, resized and hidden. Includes a range of useful interface layouts.
  • Canvas pixel probe provides RGBA and HSV values.
  • Canvas exposure control.
  • Canvas channel controls to view HSVA, HSV, Red, Green, Blue, Alpha.
  • Unlimited Undo/Redo.
  • Optional plugin connections are available to buy that link HDR Light Studio to your 3D software. Overview

SUGARfx Luminaire is a set of six (6) “matte-controllable” and completely customizable effects developed exclusively for FCP X.

Easy to use.

Start by selecting the Luminaire filter of your choice, drag-and-drop it onto your video clip just like any other effect… and tweak away.

The parameters are easy to understand, and the OSC’s or interactive On-Screen-Controls, add an additional ease-of-use to achieve just the look that you want, in no time.

– Dazzle Rays : Is a shine effect that uses a processed version of the image as a matte, as well as a Circular or Square shape Matte to control how the effect is applied back onto the footage.

– Glow Matte : Provides a creative way to add glows to your footage depending on the luminance Matte processed from the footage.

– Highlights : Is a glint generator that uses a matte extracted from the lighter sections of the footage. The highlights can be manipulated using the OSC controls and other parameters.

– Light Sweep : A sweep of light that animates automatically in the direction that you can select and customize.

– Matte Sweep : A manual sweep of light that can optionally use a luminance Matte extracted from the footage as a method of application.

– Twinkle : An animated glint that behaves like intermittent source of lights coming from the brightest parts of the image, thanks to a generated Noise Matte that can be easily manipulated.
