Slide and Film Strip Projector Effects and Transitions

The main feature of Film Strip is the transition effect that simulates both a carousel and film strip projector. These effects come with a variety of transitions from a simple fade in and out carousel transition, to a more complex over-advance film strip projector effect. These effects were hand-key-framed from the images and movements of actual vintage projectors for a most natural and authentic feel!

More Features

Film Strip comes with a powerful slide effect that has all the options and controls you need. Shape, size, and position variations of the slide. Control the vintage feel of the slide with variables such as blur, scratches, dust, jitter amount, light flash amount, etc. It also comes with special vignette and custom color grading option…all within one tool!

Original Sound Effects

To top it all off, Slide Strip comes with five different sound effects from the sound of the projectors fan, to the various clicks it makes, to the on and off switch of the projector machine.

Overview

It’s called “Lens Whacking“. Over the years indie filmmakers came up with a way to make incredible optical lighting artifacts inside the camera by removing the lens while shooting, then hovering it over the sensor to allow light to come in, thus creating an on-the-fly dreamy light effect.

Lens Whack is a product that gives you that simulated Lens Whacking effect in post production, without you having to try to focus and film while hovering your lens over the sensor…and you don’t risk breaking anything either!

LENS SKEW

The Lens Skew area of Lens Whack has everything to do with what happens when you take the lens off your camera and hover it over the sensor. When you change the Amount of the effect you increase or decrease the lens distortion, in-focus areas, lens drift, and vignette. Use the on-screen control to change the in-focus point of your footage. If you click the checkbox for Random Drift, the focus point will randomly drift around your footage as if you are creating it by hand. The amount of the drift can be sped up or slowed down and the distance it travels can be changed as well. Finally, you can always choose to have the out of focus areas and distortion turned off if you wish to just see movement of the vignette.

DYNAMIC HAZE

Often times when Lens Whacking, you get variations of light haze spilling onto the sensor because of the variations of light that is happening around you. This section of the effect does just that. Dynamic Haze extracts the light and dark areas of your footage and projects it as forms of light and dark areas. For variation, you can experiment with the X and Y positions as well as the amount of stretch. You can assign colors to the light and dark areas or simply use white for a neutral style of light spill.

LIGHT LEAKS

This is one of our favorite areas. Simple choose a light leak style from the drop down menu to give your footage that extra bit of reality when using Lens Whack. You can adjust the brightness, color, saturation, and even flip it on the X and Y for many variations.

USING LENS WHACK

Once you have installed Lens Whack, you will find it in the Title area of Final Cut Pro X. Simply drag the desired effect and drop it over the video clip you want to affect. Make sure you expand or shrink the title to cover the entirety of the clip…then make the adjustments to the parameters you want in the Title’s inspector window. There are 12 presets and examples to give you some creative ideas and starting points.

Overview

Title Flair is a set of 20 title effects for Final Cut Pro X that have various shape backgrounds which you can control parameters such as animations style and background shapes that give your titles an extra “flair”.

EASY PRESETS

Place Title Flair over your video or imagery content by navigating to the Titles browser in FCPX. Drag and drop any title over your footage. You can easily change the opacity of the background shapes, choose they animation style of the shapes combine in and going out and opacity, choose a text animation, and adjust the focal area of the image.

BASE EFFECTS TOOL

The Base Effects tool is a adjustment layer that can be used to add some cool extra effects and animations to Title Flair. Simply place the Base Effects layer directly between the Title Flair title and the timeline footage or imagery. Extend it or shorten it to the same duration as the Title Flair title. Choose which effects you want to use by checking or unchecking the effects boxes and adjusting the zoom amount.

EASY TO USE IN FCPX

Title Flair can be found in the Titles browser inside Final Cut Pro X. Simply drag and drop the Base Effects tool over your footage, then choose a Title Flair title and place it above that.

Overview

Kinetic Badges is a set of original usable vector graphics that can be used as stand-alone vector graphics, or combined with the various badge options that come with your purchase. Each graphic is also slightly animated (which can be turned on or off) to give your project a unique feel. With all the graphics, badge stylizing options and texture backgrounds, several hundred possibilities can be achieved with the Kinetic Badges.

BADGE OPTIONS

The badge options available to you to stylize the type of badge, along with many other variables, gives you the possibility to create hundreds of different badges to place as info graphics, callouts, pins, etc into your filmmaking and video projects.

GRAPHICS OPTIONS

Check out all the vector graphics options that come with Kinetic Badges: use them as stand-alone graphics or combine them with hundreds of possible combinations for sleek-looking badge icons for any project.

SCALABLE VECTOR GRAPHICS

The 30 icons that come with Kinetic Badges is a library of usable and fully scalable vector graphics. Scale them as small or as large as you like. You can even turn off the badge options, scale the image up, and use them as straight icons. You can even colorize the separate elements of each image differently for a custom look.

ANIMATIONS

Each graphic comes with one or more continuous animations that can easily be turned on or off. These animations give your project life and character that coincide with the type of graphic you choose.

STYLIZING CONTROLS

The style parameters of each badge are the same. There are many possibilities to choose form when determining the size, shape, badge type, colors, drop shadows, and even the individual colors of separate elements in each badge.

CREATIVE POSSIBILITES

The sky is the limit with creativity using Kinetic Badges. Use it to pin images on a map, or show off a sale going on with your client’s company. It’s up to you what diversity you can come up with.

EXTRAS

Kinetic Badges come with some great extras. It has a custom image and custom text badge so you can load your own image and write your own text inside a badge. It also comes with two great “Fill Statistic” tools that use each icon as a fill percentage info graphic. We have also added 10 high quality textures you can use as backgrounds when showing off your badges. Choose an image, background, and set the statistic percentage and you’re ready to go.

ADD MORE ANIMATION

If you’d like to add a quick animation that automatically brings your icons and badges into the frame, check out our product called “Object Animator” for tons of automatic animations!

Please Note: If using Object Animator with Kinetic Badges, the on-screen controls of Object Animator will not function (this is a developer bug inside FCPX on their side). The parameter controls, however, are fully functional.
