A clipboard manager from Tapbots that keeps a searchable history of everything you copy, organizes reusable clippings in custom pasteboards, and applies live text filters before you paste into any app.

Pastebot runs in the background and stores recent copies on the Clipboard — by default the last 200 items, adjustable in Preferences. Open the quick paste menu from any application to search, preview, and paste earlier clippings, or hit number keys to paste one of the ten most recent copies instantly. Custom pasteboards let you pin frequently used snippets permanently, assign keyboard shortcuts, and build sequential paste queues when you need to drop multiple items in order.

Filters, privacy, and sync

Pastebot’s filter system is its power feature: stack base filters, preview transformations live, assign hotkeys, and export filters to share with other users. Shell script filters extend automation for developers. A blacklist keeps password managers and other sensitive apps out of history — Keychain and 1Password are excluded by default. iCloud sync mirrors clippings, pasteboards, and filters across Macs, and Universal Clipboard imports iPhone copies when enabled.

Licensing and 2.4.8

Pastebot 2 is distributed on the Mac App Store by Tapbots with a subscription model (about $24.99 per year or $2.99 per month according to the vendor). Accessibility permission is required on macOS 10.14 and later. Tapbots also sells Pastebot 3 as a separate direct purchase with expanded features. Version 2.4.8 is a maintenance release that fixes a startup crash triggered when the Mac App Store receipt expired.
