ServerCat

A cross-platform SSH client and Linux server monitor for Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision — built to show live CPU, memory, network, disk, GPU, and Docker stats without installing anything on your servers.

ServerCat connects with a normal SSH account and reads Linux /proc data remotely, so there is no agent, daemon, or third-party package to deploy. The free tier covers detailed monitoring: per-core CPU, memory use, network throughput and TCP stats, disk I/O, GPU usage with running processes, and Docker container lists with live stats. That makes it useful for quick health checks from a MacBook when you manage VPS instances, homelab boxes, or cloud nodes.

Terminal, Docker, and sync

Premium unlocks the integrated SSH shell, background SSH sessions, iCloud sync of encrypted host credentials across Apple devices, and Docker container create/manage workflows including batch execution. The app stores SSH keys and passwords with AES encryption locally; optional iCloud sync passes encrypted data through Apple’s cloud rather than the developer’s servers. You can generate RSA keys in-app and copy them to a server’s authorized_keys for key-based login.

Licensing and platform

ServerCat is free to download with in-app purchases for Premium (about $5.99/year or $18.99 lifetime according to the App Store). On Mac it requires macOS 14.1 or later; monitoring targets Linux hosts only — macOS and FreeBSD servers are not fully supported because metrics depend on Linux /proc. Version 26.8.0 (August 1, 2026) adds Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, and Vietnamese localization.
