The 2026.2 release line added TypeScript 7 support for faster type checking in large codebases, often without forcing an immediate project compiler migration. Figma Connect in 2026.2.1

Version 2026.2.1 introduces Figma Connect: a maintained integration that streams design context from Figma Desktop into WebStorm through Figma MCP. A setup wizard configures the JetBrains Connect plugin, pairs Figma with the IDE, and lets you browse layers, sync selections both ways, and attach design node references — not heavy screenshots — to AI Chat or terminal agents. That helps implement screens from the actual spec rather than approximations, though it requires Figma Desktop with Dev Mode or Full Design access and a one-time setup.

WebStorm runs on macOS alongside Windows and Linux and is sold through JetBrains subscriptions with a trial period. Version 2026.2.1 is a minor update centered on Figma Connect atop the 2026.2 feature set.
