A native macOS utility that combines disk cleanup, app management, maintenance, disk analysis, and live system monitoring in one SwiftUI app — aimed at users who want review-first safety instead of one-click deletion.

On a Mac that slowly fills with caches, old app leftovers, and stale update files, the usual workflow is a stack of separate tools: a cleaner for junk, App Cleaner for uninstalls, DaisyDisk for space maps, and iStat Menus for live stats. Mole bundles those jobs into five main tabs — Clean, Uninstall, Optimize, Analyze, and Status — plus a menu bar HUD with optional animated runners, fan controls on supported hardware, and Battery Care for MacBooks. The approach is conservative: scans show what would be removed, protected paths and whitelists stay in place, and destructive actions go through review rather than silent wipes.

How it fits a daily Mac workflow

Most people open Clean first, let Mole scan ten categories (app caches, system caches, logs, developer tools, AI tools, browsers, cloud clients, design apps, communication apps, and misc temp files), then tick only the rows they trust. Uninstall goes deeper than dragging to Trash: it can surface launch agents, preferences, and remnants, with login items handled only when you explicitly choose them. Analyze builds treemap-style disk maps so large folders stand out without hunting in Finder. Status shows CPU, GPU, memory, disk, network, battery, and process detail in a layout closer to Activity Monitor than a simple widget.

Updates, menu bar, and licensing

The Software tab checks Mac App Store, Sparkle, Electron, and Homebrew sources, with in-app updates where macOS allows safe replacement. The menu bar can show live metrics or a RunCat-style runner whose pace tracks real load; v1.12.1 redraws runners from the open-source RunCat Neo gallery for sharper rendering. Licensing is a one-time purchase ($19 for two Macs, lifetime updates, 14-day refund) with no subscription tier — scanning stays free, while repeated use of the tools requires activation after trial limits. macOS 14 or later is required; both Apple Silicon and Intel are supported according to the vendor.
