A large visual-effects toolbox for Mac editors who work in Final Cut Pro, Motion, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve — delivered through the FxFactory plugin manager rather than a pile of separate installers.

FxFactory Pro is Noise Industries’ flagship effect collection: generators, filters, transitions, and utility plugins that appear inside your host app’s effects browser once FxFactory is installed. The free FxFactory app acts as the store, downloader, and license manager — you browse products, install what you need, and toggle plugins on or off from one desktop application. FxFactory Pro itself spans hundreds of presets and dozens of effects, from glows and vignettes to AI-assisted masking, LUT tools, camera shake, pixelation, timecode overlays, and title-oriented generators.

Workflow on Mac

A typical setup starts with installing FxFactory from the vendor site, then adding FxFactory Pro from inside the app. Close your NLE before installing or updating plugins, as FxFactory recommends, so hosts pick up new binaries cleanly. In Final Cut Pro you get both native plug-ins and Motion-template-based Final Cut Effects; in Motion, Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve you use the plug-in versions where supported. Recent FxFactory Pro releases emphasize wide-gamut HDR workflows, perceptual color-space processing, and Metal-accelerated rendering on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Licensing and hosts

FxFactory Pro is sold as a perpetual license through FxFactory (about $199 for new customers and $99 academic pricing according to the vendor; existing owners may upgrade major releases at discounted rates). Trials run with watermarks until activated. FxFactory 9.x requires macOS Ventura 13.5 or later through macOS 26 Tahoe, with host minimums such as Final Cut Pro 10.6+, Premiere 22+, After Effects 22+, and DaVinci Resolve 20+. Build 9.0.5-8654 is the current FxFactory runtime line needed for Pulse Reactor and is recommended for macOS 27 Beta testing.
