iNet Network Scanner

A local-network toolbox for Mac that lists who is on your Wi-Fi, what services they advertise, and which common ports answer — without a subscription or an account.

A scan returns devices with IP and MAC details. You can rename them, assign icons, limit the IP range, pick a network interface, and export the table as CSV or PDF. From a device you can open SSH, VNC, or HTTP when the host responds. Sleeping phones often stay invisible; that is normal, not a failed install. History helps you notice a gadget that was online yesterday and is gone today.

Bonjour, ports, and Wake-on-LAN

Bonjour Monitor lists services on the local domain (and others if you configured them). Wake-on-LAN can start compatible Macs and PCs on the LAN or, when set up, over the internet; favorites keep the machines you wake often. Sleep, shutdown, and restart of Macs go through SSH when you have credentials. AirPort Monitor still graphs traffic and signal on older Apple base stations that speak SNMP; 802.11ac AirPort models are unsupported because Apple removed SNMP. Privacy and licensing

BananaGlue GmbH (Berlin) sells the Mac app as a one-time $24.99 Mac App Store purchase with Family Sharing and included updates. The developer states it collects no user data. To see which host reaches the internet, the FAQ says iNet sends a ping to Google and nothing else. The Mac build has fewer modules than iNet Pro on iPhone; those extras arrive later if at all. It requires macOS 11.0 or later and ships in more than twenty languages. Version 4.0.3 is the requested Mac build; the App Store listing may already show a newer point release.
