A desktop overlay for Mac that turns CPU, memory, disk, fans, and battery into movable widgets, alongside clocks, weather, and a few other glanceable panels.

On the Mac App Store the product is listed as Widgetter — Custom Desktop (Villow / Bitnite). Catalog titles often add “System Stats Widgets” because the monitoring tiles are the main reason people install it. You pick modules, resize them freely, tint colors and fonts, and optionally keep key tiles always on top. Skins and a wallpaper library dress the rest of the desktop. This is not Apple’s Notification Center WidgetKit stack: the widgets live on the desktop itself and stay in Widgetter’s windowing model.

What you actually watch

System tiles cover CPU load, RAM (including heavy processes), HDD/SSD space, fan RPM, battery, and internet speed. Other modules include date and time, calendar, weather, a music player, photos, currency and crypto quotes, and tasks. You can duplicate types — two clocks, two weather cities — if you work across time zones. Weather, quotes, and similar tiles need a network connection; local CPU and disk readouts do not.

Licensing and limits

The download is free. A watermark is removed via in-app purchase (about $2.99) or through monthly, yearly, and one-time unlocks that the Store lists at several overlapping prices (roughly $4.99/month, $19.99–$39.99/year, $29.99–$59.99 lifetime). The developer reports identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics, not linked to identity. Localization is English and Simplified Chinese. It requires macOS 13.0 or later and is described as optimized for Apple silicon. Version 2.5.1 is the current App Store release.
