DUNE 2 was rewritten from scratch, in order to provide a yet higher sound quality and allow for an even wider range of sounds. New oscillators, new filters, new effects and graphical envelopes are just some of the new additions.

With a maximum reserve of 8320 oscillators at full polyphony, DUNE 2 is a true unison monster, unlikely to ever run out of oscillators.

DUNE 2 is available as VST/AU/AAX plugin for Windows and Mac OS X. The VST/AU version comes in both 32- and 64-bit versions, the ProTools version is 64-bit only.

HQPlayer 3.22 macOS

HQPlayer is a high quality audio player for Mac OS X. HQPlayer also features several selectable high quality upsampling and downsampling algorithms as well as selectable dither, noise shaping and modulator algorithms. All modern DACs employ oversampling and delta-sigma modulation, however the hardware implementations are more or less resource constrained.

Higher quality oversampling and delta-sigma modulation can be done by utilizing vast mount of processing power available in modern PCs. Many AVRs also resample internally to 48, 96 or 192 kHz, with the HQPlayer, these can be fed at the native rate. Want to buy 192/24 or DXD files for future but currently own only 96/24 capable hardware? Or want to buy DSD128 or DSD256 files but currently own only DSD64 or 192/24 PCM capable hardware? Resampling and dither/noise shaper can be used to playback high resolution files on a lower resolution hardware, allowing future-proof investment on high resolution files. For digital room correction and other equalization purposes, selectable convolution algorithms are included. Convolution engine supports RIFF (WAV) format FIR impulse responses, which can be produced with suitable software, such as Acourate, Room EQ Wizard or DRC.

Network Audio Adapter
Network audio is especially useful to give freedom from cables when player is run on a tablet or other wireless device. Processing is performed by the player application and the processed data is then asynchronously streamed over network to a very lightweight network audio adapter interfacing to the DAC. Asynchronous FIFO provides maximum isolation between processing and audio reproduction.

The all-new version, SpectraLayers Pro 5, has a redesigned front end for a smoother workflow, added tools for restoration and repair, and an all-new high-resolution Spectrogram so you can see your audio, like never before.

Brand new interface

SpectraLayers Pro 5 features a new, slick and darker interface offering an easier workflow so you can focus more on the task at hand. The GUI features improved navigation and more logically grouped tools and settings. There are new Hybrid Slider Value inputs which can be be controlled by mouse, touch, number input or scroll wheel and Direct Wave sample editing.

Heal, repair, select.

Several new tools allow you to get full control over the audio restoration process. The new Heal Action feature automatically fills gaps in an audio file by reconstructing the ambient background noise around it. If you have a dropout in an audio recording, for example, Heal Action examines the audio on either side to rebuild the missing data. The Frequency Repair tool allows you to repair specific damaged frequencies very easily using assisted frequency reconstruction and with full control over the reconstruction process. Finally, Spectral Markers allow you to add and share annotations within the Spectrogram.

Your new cockpit.

The high-definition Spectrogram display contains the world-first use of the powerful Fast Local Sharpening algorithm. This results in a high-resolution that offers pin-sharp accuracy, so allows you to perform precision edits, all in real time. The display has several adjustable parameters that really let you home in and focus on specific detail within your audio including Wave Range, Time Range, 3D Range and fine-tunable Frequency Resolution and Overlap.

The new Composite View.

The brand new Composite View mode in SpectraLayers Pro 5 is offering you a highly-customisable range of previews of your final mix with the complete dynamic range shown across the Spectrogram. It reveals all the layers merged together with adjustable color-mapping and a color gradient of your choice so you can easily customise the preview of your mix to your taste.
