Perfectly Clear Workbench is an application that uses Athentech’s Perfectly Clear image correction libraries and is made available to demonstrate the capabilities of the Perfectly Clear processing libraries, face detection library and to allow a quick export of the processing settings for use.
One of the key features in Workbench is the ability to “export to API” when saving a Preset. This allows you to make image corrections in Workbench and tune the settings to match your style and correction needs. Then, you can quickly export these settings to a text file – ready to be copy / pasted into your source code with our image correction SDK.

Supported Image Formats
Perfectly Clear requires RGB-formatted images in either 8 or 16-bit color depth. Any image file that Photoshop or Lightroom can open and convert to this format may be used in Perfectly Clear. Monochrome and CMYK images must be converted to RGB before using Perfectly Clear. RAW files must be opened through Adobe Camera RAW and loaded into Photoshop to be accessible to Perfectly Clear.

PopChar X – tool, which is a pop-up window that can be placed on top of all other windows and display a table of different characters that the user can insert into the text of any document. In addition to standard letters and numbers, the keyboard has many other signs that apply everywhere, but that can not always be easily inserted into the text.
To use many of them need to remember complex combinations of keys, which you just do not know. That is why the program is so useful PopChar. It allows you to insert special characters in your text on the fly, without wasting time on selection of different combinations of keys or search them online. Simply use the mouse to select the desired character, and it can be copied anywhere – whether it’s a text editor or the email client. The program can be run a certain key combination and close immediately following the insertion of the symbol.

PopChar’s magnifier tool lets you see an enlarged view of characters. This is especially useful for characters with small, subtle details. The grid lines in the close-up lens also let you see exactly where a character sits relative to the baseline.
Find characters by drawing their shapes
With PopChar, inserting any character is as easy as clicking it in the PopChar table, and you can even search large fonts for characters by their Unicode names. Unfortunately, you often don’t know the Unicode name of the desired character, so you don’t know which search terms to enter. But you do know what the desired character looks like. With PopChar, you can simply show PopChar what you want.
Find similar characters
If a character has a keyboard equivalent, PopChar displays which keys generate the character. This is most useful for quickly typing accented letters in foreign languages.

PopChar offers three insertion modes. You can choose to insert selected characters as plain text or as formatted text, along with font information and in the font size you specify.

Parallels Desktop is one of the oldest and most popular applications for virtualization on macOS. There are quite a few options out there for Mac users who want to run other operating systems on their Apple devices, but none are quite as intuitive and novice-friendly as Parallels.
This app allows you to Run Windows, various flavors of Linux, ChromeOS, Android, and many other operating systems in virtual machines, and it makes setting up and configuring these VMs incredibly straightforward. Much of the process is automated, and the virtualized OSes integrate well with macOS.
It really is that simple. Compared to alternatives like VirtualBox or VMware, it is much easier to create a virtual machine and install an OS. For instance, if you want a Windows 11 VM, the startup wizard guides you through the entire process. It only takes a few clicks and absolutely no technical knowledge.
If you skip the initial Win10 wizard, Parallels still has an installation assistant that can help you set up Windows, Linux, and many other operating systems. The Windows 10 Test and Development environments are available for free, as are numerous Linux flavors and Android, and you can even install macOS from the recovery partition or convert a Boot Camp installation to a VM.
Aside from installing Windows via Boot Camp, which isn’t likely to be supported on Apple Silicon, Parallels offers possibly the most seamless experience when running another operating system on your Mac.
MacBook Pro users can add Windows apps to the Touch Bar, Office integration lets documents in Safari open in their native Windows apps, and full support is available for Retina displays for the best visual experience.

These include integration with Docker, Vagrant, and Microsoft Visual Studio, among others, VM transferring and deployment capabilities, debugging tools, and centralized administration and management.
Whether you’re just starting out or you have a lot of experience with running VMs, nothing can beat the streamlined experience you get with Parallels, and it doesn’t lose out to its competitors when it comes to the number of available features either.
With Boot Camp seemingly doomed on Apple Silicon, Parallels will likely be one of the few virtualization options available for M1 Mac users.

What was deprecated or removed from Parallels Desktop 26
According to the statistics from the users who participate in the Parallels Customer Experience program, some product features are used very seldom or not at all. We have decided to either stop supporting them or completely remove them from Parallels Desktop and focus on frequently used features and further enhancements.
Below is the list of features that are no longer supported and have been removed in Parallels Desktop for Mac 26:
Installing Parallels Desktop on Macs running macOS Monterey 12.
Shared Bluetooth functionality. Bluetooth devices (e.g., keyboards, mice, or game controllers) connected to your Mac will continue to work normally in virtual machines. Note: To connect a Bluetooth device directly to a virtual machine, consider using a USB Bluetooth dongle.
USB and network kexts (kernel extensions). This deprecation affects virtual machines that run on Intel Macs using Parallels hypervisor; such machines will continue supporting USB and network adapters in kextless mode.
Deferred activation.
Designating a custom update server in the deployment package settings.
Synchronization of virtual machine color tags between the Parallels Desktop Control Center and macOS Finder.
The option to install Parallels Toolbox for Windows in a Windows virtual machine using the Parallels Desktop menu.

There are a bunch of macOS functions that aren’t particularly easy to toggle on or off, and some can’t be disabled at all.

Useful switches in your menu bar
The app itself is pretty simple. It adds an icon to the menu bar, which you can use to access a collection of switches. Among others, you can hide the MacBook Pro notch, hide desktop icons, enable Night Shift, show hidden files, and toggle auto-hiding the Dock and menu bar.
If some of these switches aren’t necessary, you can disable them from the app’s preferences. A few aren’t even enabled by default, so be sure to check them out in case you find some of them useful.

Dynamic control
DSEQ analyses the input or side chain signal in the frequency domain and triggers then the dynamic equalizers depending on the threshold. This is done for each singular frequency that is available
during the Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT).
The frequency selectivity determines whether and to what extent neighbouring frequencies are also affected. Attack and Release control how quickly the dynamic equalizers react.
The slope parameter lets you turn the spectrum of the input or side chain signal before going into the dynamic equalizers. With a positive slope value the dynamic equalizers with higher frequencies trigger earlier, with lower frequencies later. Just set the slope value to +3dB if you work witch pink noise mixing/mastering method.
GR strength controls the gain reduction like the ratio in a compressor.
GR max limits the overall gain reduction to a certain value to avoid over compression and artifacts.
Custom threshold
Custom threshold turns DSEQ into a flexible and highly accurate mulitband compressor. Use any audio file or DAW input as custum threshold to align threshold of dynamic EQs to your audio material.

The main EQ/spectrum display which lets you monitor the delta spectrum (input minus output) spectrum and adjust the pre-filter response curve.
Pre-Filter control
DSEQ works normally in the entire frequency range. You can limit the effect to certain frequency regions (e.g. highs for de-essing). Therefore, the signal for the dynamic equalizers can be processed using pre-filters. DSEQ offers various filter types such as cut, peak and shelf filters. The filter sensitivity determines how strongly the signal is recognized by the dynamic equalizers.
Smart A.I.
