URL Extractor is an app to extract and collect emails and urls in an automatic unattended way from local files on your Mac or from the web starting from web pages or search engine keywords.

URL Extractor can be used to extract thousands of email addresses or other URLs, as example web addresses, in various mode:

  • Inserting (or importing) a list of web page addresses, the app will use those web pages as a seed to start to collect data and visit linked pages, proceeding in a background navigation to the requested deep level collecting data till the user decide to stop.
  • Inserting (or importing) a list of keywords and using them as a starting point to run a search on a user specified search engine. The app will use the obtained pages to proceed in a navigation and data collection to the requested deep level till the user decide
  • Specifying a list of files and folders on the local hard disk to extract from and extracting in all the subfolder at any deep level

The user can watch live, during extraction, the extracted URLs filling the table. Filters can be used to decide what accept or exclude.
The extracted URL will be ready to be saved on disk for later use for any purpose.

The app uses various settings that can be modified to find the right balance for any search.

URL Extractor is document based to allow the user to save all the settings relative to an extraction, local based or on web based , inside a document to save on disk for later reuse.
Considering the large and dynamic nature of the web, an extraction with some specific parameters could be infinite and with different results at different time.

Geographic Imager Panel

Redesigned for Adobe Photoshop CS5, the Geographic Imager® panel provides access to all the tools and functions quickly and easily. More time is left to edit geospatial data rather than searching for tools.

Retain Spatial Properties

Geographic Imager allows the use of Adobe Photoshop native functionality without destroying the spatial properties of a GeoTIFF, DEM, ECW, MrSID or other spatial image. Easily manipulate and adjust the visual elements such as colour values and levels, histograms, hues and sharpness. Spatial properties of the image are automatically updated and retained even after performing crop, rotate or geospatial adjustments. This is important in industries such as photogrammetry and remote sensing where it is necessary for analysis.

Import and Export Spatial Imagery

Import and manage georeferenced imagery in Adobe Photoshop such as GeoTIFF, NITF, PCI and other compatible raster data formats, including support for CIR, RGBI and other multispectral and multichannel data. Create Adobe Acrobat PDF files containing coordinate systems from Geographic Imager image or import and modify existing Geospatial PDF documents. Easily share or publish them online. Import Elevation Data

Import DEM formats such as ArcInfo ASCII Grid, ArcInfo Binary Grid, USGS DEM ASCII/CDED, Military Elevation Data/DTED and SRTM. Assign a DEM Schema during import for easier rendering. Overlay aerial photography to create custom looking images.

Terrain Shader

Create shaded relief maps from DEM data in Adobe Photoshop quickly and easily using the Terrain Shader feature. Control intensity and lighting source. Define elevation intervals for custom colour ramps.

Georeference Imagery

Import or add ground control points for accurate georeferencing of aerial photography or satellite imagery with multiple transformation types supported. Assess residual errors to improve geoferencing and save control point data as reference files. Quick Georeference by a single tie point, two tie points, or from other documents.

Transform

Extensive support for thousands of geographic and projected coordinate systems with the ability to save custom definitions for future use. Re-center images using a custom central meridian and modify pixel resolution.

Mosaic

Mosaic raster images to create a seamless image. Retain images as separate layers or flatten to create one image. Now supports image transformation during Mosaic, making it easier to get the images the way you want. Also, now create seamless mosaics of images with different coordinate systems, pixel sizes, channels and colour modes.

Tile

Tile raster data into multiple images by tile size or count and automatically saves tiles using sequential naming into any supported spatial image format. Great for turning large satellite images into smaller tiles and serving them online.

GeoCrop

The GeoCrop tool allows image cropping based on a combination of pixels or geographic coordinates (geodetic and projected). Easily define coordinates or draw a crop area to see a preview. Advanced Import allows you to crop images during import, making it a great way to crop large images without the need to open them first.

Merge and Split Channels

Adobe Photoshop Merge and Split Channels are now supported. Useful for remote sensing, create false- and true-colour images and retain all georeferencing.

Bluetooth Devices

Airfoil now works with the thousands of different Bluetooth speakers, headphones, and headsets available. With Airfoil 5, you can stream a single application’s audio to a Bluetooth device (or even multiple Bluetooth devices!), and keep the rest of your audio on your Mac.

Airfoil Satellite

Airfoil for Mac 5.0 includes full compatibility with the new Airfoil Satellite applications, available for iOS, Mac and Windows. If you want to hear your Mac’s audio on another Mac, Windows machine, or iOS device, just run the free Airfoil Satellite there. Airfoil will see it and enable you to send audio to it! Airfoil Satellite also offers remote control of both supported source applications, as well as Airfoil itself. Now you can control playback, toggle outputs off and on, and much more, all remotely.

Speaker Groups

A group is a collection of multiple speakers which appears as one in Airfoil’s main window. Use a Group to send audio to multiple outputs with a single click. Create one group for all the speakers in your house, or divide your speakers into zones. Now you can send audio exactly where you want even faster.

Silence Monitor

Great for workplace or shared home setups, the new silence monitor allows Airfoil to automatically disconnect itself when it’s streaming silence. The output device is then be freed up for others to use.

Custom Equalizer Presets

Adjust the equalizer to your liking, then save it in the Preset menu. Now you’ll be able to access those exact settings any time you like.

Hide Speakers

If you regularly connect to a shared network which contains devices you don’t control, you may wish to hide them entirely from Airfoil. Now you can do so, from the “Advanced Speaker Options” window.

Adjust Sync

Airfoil automatically keeps all outputs completely in sync. However, there may be rare situations where you wish to adjust this, such as when an output is connected to a receiver which adds its own latency. The new Sync sliders in the “Advanced Speaker Options” window make this possible.

Beautifully Refined Interface

Airfoil for Mac and Airfoil Satellite for Mac have both been improved, all without changing too much. The interface will still be familiar to users of older versions of Airfoil, but it also features many improvements. There are improvements like longer volume sliders in Airfoil’s main window, as well as beautiful new graphics that are fully updated for Retina displays. Meanwhile Airfoil Satellite has been updated to include the new controls for controlling Airfoil, while retaining all that the previous “Airfoil Speakers” application offered.

It’s now possible to clear Recent Applications from the Airfoil Source selector, which will make a small group of users happy.

Many other small improvements and fixes have been made.

What’s New in Sketch 56

Improved:
  • Say hello to some new faces in our Data plugin. There are 102 new people to include in your designs.
  • You can now choose whether a text layer will auto resize horizontally or vertically to fit its content right from the Inspector.
  • We’ve moved a few things around in Preferences to clean up the General tab. Nothing’s missing, it just has a new home in one of the other tabs now.
  • We’ve added a new Select All in Artboard command to the Edit menu so you can quickly grab all of the layers on any Artboard you’ve selected. We’ve also given the different Select All commands their own submenu.
  • Measurements between layers should look a little cleaner when you zoom out. We’re removing the least relevant ones if they overlap to keep things easy to read.
  • Menus in the Inspector are now a little wider, so if you’ve got Symbol with long names, it should be easier to pick the one you want.
  • Along with the big upgrades, we’ve given Smart Distribute a boost with three handy improvements. It now works with vertical lines, supports negative spacing (so layers can overlap), and using it on layers inside a group is now as simple as clicking on the group itself.
Known Issues:
  • macOS Auto Save may not behave as expected and you won’t be able to access document versions via the Revert To menu. We’re currently working on a fix for this.
Fixed:
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when you try and dragtoselect with the Magic Wand tool.
  • Fixed a bug where the correct type weight wouldn’t appear for fonts with same name.
  • Fixed a bug in the Pages and Layer Lists where selections wouldn’t highlight correctly when connected to an external display.
  • Fixed a bug where resizing multiple layers in a rotated group could cause them to resize disproportionately.
  • Fixed a bug where gradient fills could unexpectedly change if you resize two or more layers with them.
  • Fixed a bug where a selection of layers across groups would snap to unexpected guides.
  • Fixed a bug where a Symbol master could try and snap itself to its instance as you resize it, if they’re on the same page.
  • Fixed a bug where values in the Inspector would sometimes show fixed spacing, even when the spacing between a selection of multiple layers was mixed.
  • Fixed a bug where Smart Distribute wouldn’t work reliably with rotated layers.
  • Fixed a bug where some spaces between layers wouldn’t be treated as uniform in Smart Distribute.
  • Fixed a bug where copying and pasting a Symbol instance would also duplicate its master.
  • Fixed a bug where group bounds and selection handles would not update when scaling a group.
  • Fixed a bug where layers could be moved up and out of an Artboard if no longer positioned over the Artboard after resizing via the Inspector.
  • Fixed a bug where multiple layers in a rotated group wouldn’t resize correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where the bounds of a parent group wouldn’t always update when you distribute the layers in it.
  • Fixed a bug where the background color for Symbol masters would always be shown in previews of Symbol instances even if you’d set it to not be included in instances.
  • Fixed a bug where fills for shapes with a semitransparent outer borders could expand outside its bounds.
  • Fixed a bug where a Symbol’s master or instance might lose its aspect ratio when you resize it.

Unhappy with Spotlight because it does not find files that you know to be there? Use FAF to find every file on your disks, including those usually hidden. By file name, date, size (not by content, though!)

  • Recover a file whose name you partially remember?
  • See what files got changed in the past 5 minutes?
  • Find all the large files on your disk?
  • Uninstall software that leaves files in hidden places where Spotlight doesn’t look?

Find Any File (FAF) is the perfect tool for these tasks.

You can even search on disks that are not indexed by Spotlight, including server volumes.

Find Any File can find files that Spotlight doesn’t, e.g. those inside bundles and packages, and inside system folders that are usually excluded from Spotlight search.

Contrary to Spotlight, it does not use a database but instead searches the data on disk directly. This lets you search for file properties such as name, creation and modification dates, file size, even plain text inside files.

Another useful feature is its hierarchical results view (see screenshots). It lets you view the found items within their respective folders, making it often much easier to browse through 100s of found items.

Finally, it is fast. Not as fast as Spotlight, but it usually only takes a few seconds to locate all searched items on a disk.

Scapple 1.3.3 CR2

Scapple is the software equivalent of how I work out my rough ideas on paper. (If I didn’t hate the word “brainstorming” so much, I’d probably call it brainstorming software.) When I’m in the early stages of any project, whether that’s a writing project or a software project, I tend to throw a bunch of ideas down on a big piece of paper, spacing out as-yet unrelated ideas, clustering related notes, and drawing connections between them, trying to work out how everything fits together.

In short, then, Scapple is a tool for getting early ideas down as quickly as possible and making connections between them. The main advantage of doing this in Scapple instead of on paper is that you don’t run out of paper (the Scapple canvas expands to fit as many notes as you want to create), you can move notes around to make room for new ideas and connections, it’s easy to delete and edit notes, and it’s easy to export your notes into other applications when you know what you want to do with them.

I’m well aware that there’s already a plethora of mind-mapping software out there. Where Scapple is slightly different from most is that it doesn’t force you to make any connections, and it doesn’t expect you to start out with one central idea and branch everything else off that. Instead, you are free to write anywhere on the virtual paper and individual notes can be a short or as long as you like. Creating and removing connections is as easy as dragging one note onto another. Most importantly, because its purpose is to allow you to get ideas down and make connections between them quickly, Scapple is dead simple to use. Although I’m currently writing a full manual for it, the QuickStart Guide a little further down should contain everything you need to dig in and get using Scapple.
