The default Open and Save dialogs included by default in macOS don’t have too many customization options. Default Folder X is a small utility that can help you personalize the entire experience by adding new locations, Spotlight tags, comments, and many more options.
Access favorite folders from the status bar and create your own folders lists
The Default Folder X status bar menu offers you the possibility to navigate to your default, favorite, and recent folders. At the same time, the menu also allows you to view all opened Finder windows and bring any of them forward.
The Default Folder X preferences can be adjusted via a Preferences Pane that will be added to your Systems Preferences. Here you can add specific directories to be used by default with certain applications. Furthermore, you can create your own Favorite Folders list.

You can now share a cache with other Bridge users and let them use the shared cache instead of creating a cache. Given that the systems are in synchronization, managing the cache at a centralized location lets you reuse the exported cache, without the need to rebuild the cache on different user machines. You can create and manage the shared cache by using the Manage Cache dialog (Tools > Manage Cache), which has now been enhanced to provide options for building, importing, and purging cache. Media cache preferences
Bridge now processes and maintains a cache of all audio and video playback files. Frame rate conversion for 2021
Introduced in v2.3, the Chronos AI model uses deep learning to increase video frame rate without artifacts. Existing methods like frame blending and optical flow are decades old and produce inconsistent and unnatural results. Video Enhance AI generates new frames that are often indistinguishable from frames captured in-camera, enhancing videos with more natural results.
Increase video frame rate (24 to 60 FPS, 30 to 60 FPS)
To increase your video’s frame rate, you’ll need to generate new frames between your video’s existing frames. The existing ways to do this (frame blending, optical flow) often look unnatural and jittery especially with moving backgrounds. Video Enhance AI uses a new approach based on machine learning to “predict” the best intermediate frame between existing ones, which gives you much better results with a wider variety of material.
Create a smooth slow-motion effect
When you create a slow motion effect, it’s even more important that you generate new frames without stuttering or motion artifacts. Video Enhance AI creates much more natural slow motion results compared to traditional time interpolation.
Fewer motion artifacts
Other video upscaling techniques often create a “shimmering” or “flickering” effect from different processing in adjacent frames. VEAI is trained to significantly reduce such artifacts.
