Find Any File searches your local disks for files by name, creation or modification date, size, or type and creator code (not by content, though).
As there are other tools with a similar search operation, here are the special features unique to Find Any File:
Has a new hierarchical view of the found items, making it much easier to browse 100s of items (see the screenshot).
Can run as root user, finding really any file on your disk, even those that are hidden from normal users.
Can save queries and run them again later.
Unlike Spotlight (i.e., the Finder’s Find command), it does not access a pre-built database but searches the chosen volume directly. This allows you to find any file, even those inside packages and others excluded from Spotlight search. Hence it is great for finding system files, for example.
On the other hand, it may take a little longer than Spotlight, and it is only fast on HFS(+) volumes. But even on mounted network volumes of a Mac OS X server it can still be surprisingly fast.
Hence, this is not an entire replacement for Spotlight but it can come handy in certain, if not many, situations.

Meet Wade – a versatile synthesizer with some quirky tones and tape-aged character. Inspired by the “west coast” synthesis school, Wade is built around two complex oscillators — one of them a modulator too — and a lo-pass gate. While Wade doesn’t aim to compete with west coast legends such as Buchla, it has a unique sound that could be compared to everything from a Casiotone to a Mellotron.
Wade has two complex oscillators that can be morphed from saw to triangle. TIMBRE 1 can be a modulator, or it can run in parallel with the TIMBRE 2 oscillator. The CARVE control morphs between parallel voices and ring modulation. Wade also includes a lo-fi reverb with its own special plate sound. At the end of the signal chain is a cassette tape effect and filter bank that makes everything really drifty — with wow and flutter and periodic drop-outs — as if the sound has been baking in hot California the sun.
Voga is a Karplus-Strong reso-pluck synthesizer that can create new musical phrases on its own. It will generate variable yet musical strumming patterns based on just a few settings. Voga can create anything from plucked melodic phrases to ambient guitar arpeggios.

From subtle overdriven shimmers to wildly modulating phasers, Taska is a control center for generating a trove of inspiring sound sculpting effects. At its heart is a finely tuned, musical distortion circuit, a band-pass filter and a broadband tremolo. These can be routed and activated in a number of ways to completely animate and mold the input audio into something new and alive.
Swarm is a sound design effect inspired by “swarm intelligence” and “particle masses” such as those employed by composer Iannis Xenakis. It clones a segment of a sample and puts those members into a “flock” that disperses in unified – sometimes stochastic – coordination.
Swarm excels in creating dense pizzicato clouds or spacey, randomized ambiences. It is a very unconventional effect with unpredictable and oftentimes wonderous results. With some experimenting, sound designers should become acquainted with the character of Swarm and how it can best be utilized in their productions.
