While both of the above are useful, they are designed for pros who need the most time-saving options for processing portraits. If you do need portrait adjustments, you can easily add the Kristina Sherk preset packs or a new forthcoming one from Matthew Jordan Smith.

You can also create your own presets and exchange your favorite settings with other users. This is a great deal if you want the time-saving features as well as advanced technology to unlock perfect exposure and sharper images.

TinkerTool System is a collection of system utility features helping you in performing advanced administration tasks on Apple Macintosh computers. The application makes use of a self-adapting user interface which automatically adjusts to the computer model and to the version of macOS you are running. All options available in the current situation are accessible via “panes”, very similar to the techniques you already know from the System Preferences application. The features are controlled via a single window which allows you to use the application as a general toolbox and First Aid assistant.

This includes:

  • built-in maintenance features of macOS, usually not visible on the graphical user interface,
  • extended file operations, not available in the macOS Finder,
  • the possibility to access advanced system settings which are not visible in System Preferences,
  • genuine and unique features of TinkerTool System, designed to resolve typical real-world problems of administrators and to fix the effects of certain defects (“bugs”) in the operating system,

What’s New:

Version 7.11 (Build 210114)

  • Due to major performance problems and critical errors in Apple’s Time Machine interface for third-party applications, support for all features managing network-based backups has been disabled. (Disk-based backups are not affected.) The features are planned to be reinstated again as soon as this macOS component will work correctly in future versions of the operating system.
  • Communication with slow components of macOS in the background could sometimes be misinterpreted as alleged “hang” of the application. To avoid this, many user interface elements to control features of Time Machine, Spotlight, and CUPS have been changed over to asynchronous behavior. TinkerTool System will no longer wait for immediate response of macOS, but temporarily disable the affected controls until the corresponding operations have completed.
  • The list of known defects in the startup jobs of macOS 11.1 has been updated.
  • This version fixes a problem with the creation of install media where installer apps of macOS 11 could be shown as invalid after such an app had been launched and quit in the same user login session.

Version 7.0

  • Added full support for macOS 11.0 Big Sur. macOS 11 is the minimum OS version for using TinkerTool System 7.
  • Added new feature to remove invalid keychain entries of type “accountsKeychainExport” created by Xcode.
  • Added new feature to show the Apple order number and enclosure type number for Macs with Apple processors.
  • The Network Utility which was discontinued in Big Sur is reinstated by a new pane in TinkerTool System and supports modernized features:

  • When testing fans, the fan speeds are now always indicated with rounded numbers, even when using Mac models where Apple is measuring rotational speeds with decimal places.
  • Hundreds of other small changes and adjustments for macOS 11.
  • The following features have been removed because they are no longer part of macOS Big Sur, no longer make sense, or have been superseded by new macOS features: repeating system optimization, deactivation of caches while the system is running, rebuilding the driver cache, rebuilding the XPC cache, resizing DMG image files, showing the list of blocked kernel drivers, automatically suggesting components when removing software, disabling automounting of disks outside a login session, control of the option to support captive networks, additional display of HiDPI resolutions, disabling the option-ROM security feature for the Startup Manager, disabling 32-bit software, screen saver control for the login screen.

Connect AirPods (or other Bluetooth headphones) to your Mac with a single click or keypress.
AirPods are great, but they don’t work quite as smoothly with Macs as they do iPhones. You can’t tell at a glance whether audio will play from the AirPods or your Mac’s built-in speaker, you have to dig into a Bluetooth submenu to connect, and then you have to go back to the menu to see when the AirPods are ready for use. ToothFairy streamlines this: just click an icon in the menu bar (or press a hotkey) to switch to the AirPods, and the icon always shows whether they’re connected.

– Works with AirPods, as well as any Bluetooth headphones, speakers, or headset that you can connect to your Mac.

– Click the hollow AirPods icon in the menu bar to switch to AirPods. It fills in to show they are connected and also displays a battery indicator.

– Supports multiple Bluetooth audio devices; you can choose a different icon and hotkey for each.

– Get the best audio quality. macOS will normally use the SCO codec if it thinks you’re going to use the microphone. ToothFairy can ensure that it uses the higher quality AAC codec when you only care about audio output: listening to music or video or playing a game.

– Disconnect a Bluetooth device by clicking the icon (or pressing the hotkey) again, so that you can switch back to your phone. AirPods and Beats devices with an Apple W1 chip do not need to be manually disconnected, and you can set them to “Connection only mode” to avoid accidental disconnetions when pressing the hotkey multiple times.

– ToothFairy automatically launches at login, so it’s always there when you need it.

– Optionally hide the Dock icon so it only appears in the menu bar. With the Dock icon hidden, you can right-click (or Control-click) the menu bar icon to access the settings.

– Run a shell script when the AirPods are connected or disconnected.

Note: ToothFairy works with devices that can be connected via the macOS Bluetooth menu. Please make sure the devices you want to connect have been paired to the system correctly before using them with ToothFairy.

1959 by Sampleson is based on the Electro-Acoustic Piano patent (lifetime expired) registered in 1959. We brought it to life using spectral modeling. Sound can be described as a CP80-like but a bit more tuned due to the fewer number of strings.

THE EXPERIENCE OF RECREATING A FORGOTTEN ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC PIANO PATENT.
Does it sound like the original one? We don’t know, because it has never been built. And we won’t build it (by the moment:) But the experience of bringing to life an instrument that never existed, was super-exciting. The resulting sound of this virtual instrument is warm, clean and bright. The expressiveness of the piano action we emulated gives it a nice and wide range of timbres. SSDReporter is an application that checks the health of your internal solid state drives (“SSD” aka “Flash Storage”). Since SSDs have a limited life-time determined by the number of write operations, it is important to keep an eye on your SSD status. SSDReporter can warn you by e-mail or on-screen each time the health of your SSD decreases and/or when the health falls below the ‘warning’ or ‘error’ thresholds. The current status of your SSDs is also always easily recognizable because SSDReporter changes its icon (optionally in the menubar) from green to yellow (warning threshold) and finally red (error threshold) as the SSD health decreases. Note that only ‘internal’ SSDs are supported, disks connected via USB/FireWire/Thunderbolt/etc do not work with SSDReporter.
