Partition map errors can cause entire volumes to go missing, or prevent a Mac from booting. If errors are found, they can be repaired usin the Partition Repair tool.
Partition Repair – new drive repair tool – Along with Volume Rebuild, which repairs Mac file systems, the Partition Repair tool repairs the remaining portions of the drive which keeps track of the volumes on your hard drive. This includes hidden partitions which keep track of your Mac’s startup process. The Partition Repair tool does just what it says, repairing the partition maps or drives where needed.
SMART Check – Now even smarter – Hard drives include a technology called SMART (Self Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) which can inform a computer about the health of its hard drives. In most utilities, just the overall results – passed or failed – are reported to the user. In the failed state, often there is little or no time to back up data before the drive fails entirely. In Preferences Syncing, the setting Minutes to wait before starting to import changes… has been renamed to Delay before starting to import changes…. Two new faster values, 10 seconds and 30 seconds are now available in the menu, and the default setting for new users and for users who have never touched this setting has been reduced from 5 minutes to 60 seconds. (We feel that, with the improved syncing performance we have achieved over the last year or two, 60 seconds is the most appropriate choice for most users.)

Sync Snapshots are now archived before each import in addition to before each export.
In Preferences Syncing, the setting Number of Sync Snapshots to keep has been changed to MB (megabyte) Limit for keeping old Sync Snapshots on disk; in other words, instead of limiting the number of files for each browser/client, we now instead limit the disk space used. The value of users’ old Number of Sync Snapshots preference is migrated to the new MB Limit preference after multiplying by 12, up to a maximum of 1 GB. For example, most users who still have the default 5 Number of Sync Snapshots will be migrated to a Limit of 60 MB. Also, enforcement of the limit by removing older snaphots is now done every 24 hours when app or agent is running, instead of upon any export.

Markster is an easy to use macOS application that can import the bookmarks from various web browsers in order to help you create a centralized, well-structured links database.
Moreover, Markster can prove to be useful if you need more complex bookmarks management solutions, or if you want to have the complete list of URLs bookmarked in your browsers, without having to synchronize the internal bookmarks managers.

Markster offers you the possibility to add new bookmarks manually, but to get things started faster you have the option to import bookmarks from your Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Opera browsers. Even though the app includes both import and export functionalities, these tools are to be used only for the setup and backup.
Within the Markster main window, you get to organize your bookmarks into multiple folders, to add separators, to apply different sorting methods, and so on. The utility can help you get rid of duplicate entries, integrates search capabilities, and can automatically generate reports.
Access your bookmark collection from a centralized location
Furthermore, Markster allows you to open directly any of the stored bookmarks, via the app’s main window, or by using a status bar menulet. This way, you do not have to remember in which browser you bookmarked a certain URL: everything will be easily accessible from a single place.
Bottom line, the Markster utility provides an alternative solution for dealing with your bookmarks collection: instead of syncing all your browsers together, you get to use a third party app and access the URLs in any app you like.

There’s a hidden switch to prevent Default Folder X from copying tags and comments from existing files when you’re saving a file. This can prevent accidentally applying a tag or comment to a newly saved file. Hold down the Option key while selecting the Preferences menu to get to it.
Another new hidden option removes the “Forget Recent Folders”, “Forget Recent Files” and “Forget Recent Finder Windows” menu items so you don’t accidentally erase your history by choosing the wrong menu item. Hold down the Option key while selecting the Preferences menu to get to it.
Bug fixes:
Corrected a problem with Default Folder X’s menus being sorted incorrectly for sub-folders that contained a large number of items.
Files that you open after performing a search in an Open dialog will now correctly be added to Default Folder X’s list of recently used files.
If you command-drag Default Folder X’s Finder toolbar buttons to move them to a different position in the toolbar, their locations will no longer be reset back to their defaults when Default Folder X switches to or from Dark Mode.
Fixed an intermittent bug in file dialog management that could result in occasional failures to switch between folders.
Worked around two macOS bugs that could cause Default Folder X to hang at startup.
