Find Any File searches your local disks for files by name, creation or modification date, size, or type and creator code (not by content, though).
As there are other tools with a similar search operation, here are the special features unique to Find Any File:
Has a new hierarchical view of the found items, making it much easier to browse 100s of items (see the screenshot).
Can run as root user, finding really any file on your disk, even those that are hidden from normal users.
Can save queries and run them again later.
Unlike Spotlight (i.e., the Finder’s Find command), it does not access a pre-built database but searches the chosen volume directly. This allows you to find any file, even those inside packages and others excluded from Spotlight search. Hence it is great for finding system files, for example.
On the other hand, it may take a little longer than Spotlight, and it is only fast on HFS(+) volumes. But even on mounted network volumes of a Mac OS X server it can still be surprisingly fast.
Hence, this is not an entire replacement for Spotlight but it can come handy in certain, if not many, situations.

In the Preferences there’s a new option Show Results Early. When checked, the results will appear as soon as the first items are found. Closing the window will abort the search. Let me know what you think of this.

Copy JSON Format (cmd-ctrl-C) creates a JSON text in the clipboard, describing most of the selected files’ properties. Possibly useful for post processing in other programs. Let me know if you find this useful. There are also hidden settings to fine tune its output, e.g. for the date format.
Improvements
v2 is a 64 bit application and should therefore run fine on upcoming macOS 10.15.
Searching in “slow” mode (i.e. when searching a subdirectory instead of an entire disk) should be faster in v2 than in v1. Definitely not slower.
The Filter field at the top right of the results window offers the option to search in Any Shown Column. Also, when filtering dates, the month and weekdays can be spelled out (such as “april”).
Deleted items remain in the list, shown with a line (strike) through them. I like your opinion on that. You can disable this option in the Results menu, and also remove all deleted items through it.
The default and recent searches are not stored on disk as .faf files any more but in the app’s preferences.
Changes
v2 runs only on macOS 10.11 and later (v1 supports 10.6 to 10.14).
In the Results window, when “List View” (cmd-1) is chosen, there is no second list at the bottom any more for showing the parent folders of the selected item. Instead, the very bottom of the window shows a so-called Path bar, in which all the folders are listed, and which can be double or ctrl-clicked on.
When choosing a folder in an APFS volume to search, it won’t show “(slow)” because recursive search is hardly slower than searching the entire disk using the “fast search” operation (which is, sadly much slower than searching on HFS formatted volumes).
Bartender lets you organize your menu-bar apps by hiding them, rearranging them, or moving them to Bartender’s Bar. You can display the full menu bar, set options to have menu-bar items show in the menu bar when they have updated, or have them always visible in Bartender’s Bar.

In using the app, there will be about a second of latency. So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.
However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!
The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:
– Preferably, connect your TV by LAN cable to your router. – Use an “ac” router. If you don’t have one, then an “n” router. – Try not to overload your wifi network by moving big files around while you are mirroring.
How the app works: First, make sure that your Samsung TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on “TV” Mode or any HDMI IN port.
After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. It will show your TV when it has found it. Now, you have two options:
Mirror your Mac Screen: Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.
Enable Sound: check this to hear the sound of your Mac coming from the TV. You will need the additional (free) audio driver, which you can download here: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio
Play Video File: Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.

Limitations: Apple has HDCP DRM protection for playing iTunes movies. This means that screen mirroring is not possible when watching movies from iTunes.

Can run as root user, finding really any file on your disk, even those that are hidden from normal users.
Can save queries and run them again later.
Unlike Spotlight (i.e., the Finder’s Find command), it does not access a pre-built database but searches the chosen volume directly. This allows you to find any file, even those inside packages and others excluded from Spotlight search. Hence it is great for finding system files, for example.
On the other hand, it may take a little longer than Spotlight, and it is only fast on HFS(+) volumes. But even on mounted network volumes of a Mac OS X server it can still be surprisingly fast.
Hence, this is not an entire replacement for Spotlight but it can come handy in certain, if not many, situations.

Version 2.0: New features
In the Preferences there’s a new option Show Results Early. When checked, the results will appear as soon as the first items are found. Closing the window will abort the search. Let me know what you think of this.
New search rule: File Type UTI Conforms To for searching images, music files and alike. See the help text at the window’s bottom when choosing this rule.
Copy JSON Format (cmd-ctrl-C) creates a JSON text in the clipboard, describing most of the selected files’ properties. Possibly useful for post processing in other programs. Let me know if you find this useful. There are also hidden settings to fine tune its output, e.g. for the date format.
Improvements
v2 is a 64 bit application and should therefore run fine on upcoming macOS 10.15.
Searching in “slow” mode (i.e. when searching a subdirectory instead of an entire disk) should be faster in v2 than in v1. Definitely not slower.
The Filter field at the top right of the results window offers the option to search in Any Shown Column. Also, when filtering dates, the month and weekdays can be spelled out (such as “april”).
Deleted items remain in the list, shown with a line (strike) through them. I like your opinion on that. You can disable this option in the Results menu, and also remove all deleted items through it.
The default and recent searches are not stored on disk as .faf files any more but in the app’s preferences.
Changes
v2 runs only on macOS 10.11 and later (v1 supports 10.6 to 10.14).
In the Results window, when “List View” (cmd-1) is chosen, there is no second list at the bottom any more for showing the parent folders of the selected item. Instead, the very bottom of the window shows a so-called Path bar, in which all the folders are listed, and which can be double or ctrl-clicked on.
When choosing a folder in an APFS volume to search, it won’t show “(slow)” because recursive search is hardly slower than searching the entire disk using the “fast search” operation (which is, sadly much slower than searching on HFS formatted volumes).

Yate was developed for people who want complete control over their tagging experience. Supports audio in AIFF, DFF, DSF, FLAC, M4A, M4B, MP3, MP4, STEM.MP4 and WAV files. Supports video in M4V and MP4.
Yate has a long list of features; most importantly, an innovative scripting system called actions. Actions can be used to update all of an album’s tags with a single operation. Yate also supports integration with AcouticBrainz, AcoustID, Beatport, Discogs, iTunes and MusicBrainz. All changes can be easily reverted and individual changes can be undone in any order. Whether you want to automatically or manually tag your files, Yate can do it all!
What’s New:
Version 6.0: The Action Manager
Many actions are written which do not require selected audio files. These include actions which dynamically load files, those that manipulate databases, etc. The issue is that actions cannot run without at least one selected file.
There is a new column in the Action Manager named Always. When the column is enabled, it is treated as a hint to the action runner. The hint is used as follows:
if files are loaded and at least one is selected, there is no behaviour change.
if files are loaded and none are selected, one file will automatically be selected. The named variable File Auto Selected will be set to 1.
if no files are loaded, a temporary file will be supplied and selected. The named variable Temporary File Supplied will be set to 1.When the action terminates, the file is removed. Note that if the file is renamed or moved it will not automatically be removed.
Note that the All Files column settings are applied before the Always interpretation.
It is still your responsibility to ensure that selected files are not modified, if that is your intent.
Actions with the Always setting will be enabled in menus, main window toolbar icons and edit panel action buttons when there are no files selected.
Two new action statement categories were added: Import/Export and Preferences.
Application to mirror the screen of your Mac to any Samsung Smart TV. No wires and no additional hardware needed!
This works on any Samsung Smart TV from the 2012 models onward. Which model year do you have? You can see that by looking at the middle letter in your model type (on the back of your Samsung TV). E = 2012 F = 2013 H = 2014 J = 2015 K = 2016 M = 2017 N = 2018 Q = QLED (supported)
For instance: UE55_E_S8000 = 2012. UE78_H_U8500L = 2014.
In using the app, there will be a couple of seconds of latency (usually between 1 and 3). So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.
However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!
The quality of your experience will be dependant on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:
Preferably, connect your TV by LAN cable to your router.
Use an “ac” router. If you don’t have one, then an “n” router.
Try not to overload your wifi network by moving big files around while you are mirroring.
How the app works: After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac. Click on the icon and you will see a list of options:
DEVICES: Here we scan your home network for connected Samsung Smart TVs. When a TV is found in the same network as your Mac, it will be listed here. To start mirroring, select the TV from this list.
DISPLAYS: Under Displays, you will see all your screens. The primary screen of your Mac, or, when you have another monitor connected, you will see that screen as well. Please select the screen that you would like to have mirrored on your Samsung TV.
Enable Audio: you can choose whether you would like to hear the audio on your Mac or through the speakers of your Samsung TV.
NETWORK QUALITY: When you are experiencing performance issues with the app, it might be because your local network is not coping with the video data that we are sending from your Mac to your TV. You can select a lesser quality network and try again.
