Built with creative sound design at the top of the agenda, Godfazer spatially and spectrally transforms signals of all kinds with its versatile Ensemble module and two dual-modulated Multi Filters.

Vintage devices and more
Godfazer’s Ensemble section offers a wide range of delay- and amplitude-modulating vintage device emulations, including BBD-based choruses, Solina-style ensembles and rotary speakers, as well as a variety of original tremolos, auto-panners and other models. But that’s only the beginning! Alongside the Ensemble, two identical Multi Filters each feature 40 spectacularly diverse filter types, from dual shelving EQs, low/high/band-pass models and formant filters, to an extensive selection of vintage and modern phasers.

Powerful modulation
Bringing movement and dynamism to the Multi Filters, Godfazer’s dual Modulators each enable one of four styles of cutoff/center frequency modulation to be brought into play. Apply static offset to the left and right channels with the Constant Modulator; get things wobbling with the tempo-syncable, pannable, phase-adjustable LFO; generate a modulation signal based on input amplitude with the envelope Follower; and hand craft your own synced or free-running cyclical progressions with the 16-step Step sequencer.

Freedom of routing
Both Modulators are routed independently to each Multi Filter, for truly complex signal blending, and the polarity of every input can be inverted at a click. The Multi Filters themselves are configurable for parallel or serial signal flow using six topology options, which also determine the position of the Ensemble within the chain.

SURFEREQ is a ground-breaking pitch-tracking equalizer plug-in that tracks a monophonic instrument or vocal and moves the selected bands with the music.

Synthesizer filters can track the pitch to maintain the timbre of the sound throughout the instrument’s voices. However, sound equalizers have always been static. While being effective for broad tone-shaping and room resonance correction, standard EQs do a poor job at maintaining the vocal or instrument’s timbre as the music changes.

Enter SURFEREQ.

SURFEREQ tracks the pitch of a monophonic instrument or a vocal source and can adapt its bands’ frequencies relative to the music in real-time, maintaining the natural harmonic balance of the sound source and making it possible to shape the source’s timbre relative to the notes being played.

RELEVANT TO THE MUSIC

SURFEREQ follows the pitch of a monophonic instrument or vocal in real-time and can adjust any of its bands accordingly, thus “Surfing” the sound waves.

SURF ON

Any of SURFEREQ’s seven bands can be set to SURF mode to track the pitch of the instrument or vocal source and adjust its frequency relative to the notes being played.

Furthermore, SURFEREQ’s pitch can be controlled via MIDI notes, allowing its EQ bands to be played using a keyboard, thus creating a unique timbre-shaping musical instrument.

UNIQUE FILTER ALGORITHMS

We’ve made every effort to preserve the size, energy and transients of the sound source while developing SURFEREQ’s filters algorithms (No cookbook EQs here!). SURFEREQ’s analog-like, asymmetric filters sound natural even when pushed to extremes.

In addition to the HIGH-PASS, LOW-PASS, SHELF and BELL-shaped filters, we’ve developed a unique, four-mode HARMONIC FILTER which enables to control the entire harmonic series of an instrument using just a single band of EQ.

SUPERIOR PITCH DETECTION

One of the biggest challenges in designing a real-time pitch-detection algorithm is avoiding octave errors while keeping the algorithm efficient enough for real-time processing. We’ve spent over a year researching and meticulously developing an accurate, real-time pitch-detection engine with virtually no octave errors.

What’s new in MeldaProduction MCompleteBundle 13.06

Backwards compatibility change: MIDI note controllers and MCharacter were mapping notes to frequencies one octave above the MIDI standard. As a part of the standardization we fixed this. To fix your projects, please move all notes down one octave if using this feature. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Added MTurboDelayMB as part of MTurboDelay product.
  • Added SampleAndHold module to MXXX.
  • Added 16 “Main controllers” to MIDI settings, which users can map to any MIDI controller to simplify access and switching between MIDI controllers.
  • Added Banks to all modules in modular environments such as MSoundFactory or MXXX. This lets you store multiple settings for that module and switch between them using a multiparameter for example.
  • Added Random colors to MMultiAnalyzer.

ResonHeart is the physical modeling simulation of a never seen before, experimental, aerophone-based acoustic instrument.

Characterized by a complex modal-based architecture, this original machine has expressly been built to mimic the sound of different families of acoustic instruments – like winds, membranes, chromatic percussions, ethnic lutes and whistles, glasses, cymbals and crashes, vocal ensembles and choirs, or even an entire orchestral strings section – as well as to produce very unconventional, organic tones, evolving textures and expressive motion pads.

Working on the principles of fluid dynamics and designed to potentially be a real-world replicable machine, every single component inside ResonHeart has been modeled after existing hardware – commercially available devices like air pumps, pneumatic valves and metal resonators. Also the surrounding room acoustics has been carefully modeled, simulating a wide range of spatial environments, from small chambers to big concert halls, to stone-walled cathedrals and beyond.

Moreover, ResonHeart features a clean and intuitive interface, making the sound designing process just simple and effective.

Then, we combined these new technologies with some of the best sounds and features from Addictive Drums 2. The result is a fast, accurate and fun way to raise your live-recorded drums to a whole new level.

Accurate and Intelligent

During the research phase of Addictive Trigger, users around the world reported that accurate hit detection is absolutely critical when using drum replacement plugins. Unfortunately, existing triggering technologies tend to have shortcomings that require lots of manual tweaking and correction.

We endeavor to make products that are better than what is currently available, and we ended up creating an entirely new method for drum hit detection called Audio Fingerprint. Our new system uses FFT analysis to accurately identify drum sounds even if there is a lot of mic bleed or background noise in the source material. It’s fast, it’s accurate, and we think it’ll change the way you work with live-recorded drums.

What is Audio Fingerprint?

Typical drum replacement tools rely on rudimentary filtering and transient detection, resulting in many false triggers and missed hits. Audio Fingerprint solves this problem by using a novel FFT-based matching system. It is so accurate, it usually has no trouble detecting lightly played ghost notes from background noise while simultaneously rejecting mic bleed and other unwanted sounds.

In addition to detecting low level ghost notes with great accuracy, our Audio Fingerprint system can also differentiate between different stroke types that are played at similar velocities (for example, sidestick and open snare hits). This lets Addictive Trigger play back the correct articulations of samples, even if the incoming source material has different kinds of drum hits with similar peak levels.

Superstart. Super fast.

Setting and fine-tuning detection parameters can be painfully tedious work. SuperStart eliminates the need to do this by listening to your source material and automatically providing suitable detection settings. In most cases, this is all you need to get accurate drum detection happening on your tracks. This lets you spend more of your time on creative things like dialing in the perfect drum sounds.

OVC-128 is a massively-oversampled soft/hard clipping effect AudioUnit, AAX and VST plugin for professional music production applications. A common use for this plug-in is hard-clipping before the final peak limiter. This is an effective approach in contemporary electronic music when loudness is boosted using a clipper plug-in while minor excessive peaks are absorbed by a final peak limiter that applies no additional gain itself.

Clipping the tracks via OVC-128 is practically similar to clipping using high-quality outboard analog gear. At 44.1kHz source sample rate, the internal audio sample rate of OVC-128 is a whopping 5.6 MHz!

A perfect combination for contemporary electronic music production is OVC-128 followed by Voxengo Elephant mastering limiter in the “EL-C” or “EL INS” mode. This combination produces both energy and smoothness.

Note that OVC-128 is a relatively CPU-demanding effect plug-in, it requires a higher-end processor for comfortable use. Performing 128X-oversampled clipping on a single stereo track is computationally similar to performing simple clipping on 1000 tracks.

DynOne is a unique multiband parallel compressor designed from the ground up, using “very gentle and great sounding” linear phase crossover filters. Its design allows you to mix in compressed filter bands with the original signal. This makes it possible to shape and tonalize your sound without squashing its dynamics.

DynOne has four unique features. You can set minimum and maximum attack and release values for an adaptive compression timing which is dependent on the crest factor, making it sound musical. There is also a slider to set the envelope detection circuit to RMS or peak, or anything in between. And multi-mono to stereo variable channel linking. The last unique feature is that the sidechain input of each band is defined by a variable weighted mix of that particular band versus the other adjacent bands; one weighting slider gives you intuitive control over the sidechain inputs.

All of these features are available in an intuitive interface. It allows you to tonalize your sound and fatten it up, all within seconds.

Key Features:

  • Compression control for each of the 5 bands.
  • Parallel mode where you add the compressed signal to the original.
  • Variable peak to RMS detection.
  • Multi-mono to stereo channel linking variable control.
  • Upward expansion possibility per band.
  • Set different minimum and maximum attack and release values. Compression will use values closer to minimum when the crest factor is higher and closer to maximum when it’s lower.
  • Weighting option to tweak the sidechain input mix for each of the bands. The weighted mix can vary between its own band and a combination of adjacent bands, so it gets closer to a single compressor behaviour.

The plugin has dependency to TBB.DLL (Threading Building Blocks). However, official installer put that DLL to unrecognized location. It means official version does not even run on the most computers. We are pretty sure that there are no Windows user buyer for this plugin.

Our release includes the latest version of TBB runtimes. It will be installed to System32 dir. We tested our release on fresh installed computer to be sure. Don’t forget to install MSVC2019 runtime!

Adam Monroe’s Wurlitzer virtual instrument plugin was sampled from an “early model” 1970’s Wurlitzer 200A electronic piano. The process began by close-miking the piano with Beyerdynamic MC930 condenser microphones on the Wurlitzer’s built-in speakers, and an AEA R84 Ribbon Mic on the line-out signal through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp. These signals were fed into Grace M101 and AEA TRP Preamps respectively.

The wurlitzer’s amplifier and preamp were re-capped in an attempt to save the amplifier, but about half way through the sampling process the amplifier died, which eventually killed the power transformer. The preamp, amp, and power transformer were all replaced and sampling continued. Well sampling the bass notes, it became apparent that the Wurlitzer’s built in speakers also needed to be replaced.

Most keys on the Wurlitzer were in tune, but a few keys needed fine adjustment, and F2 needed to be replaced completely, as our attempt to “add solder” to the lead tine, in order to lower the pitch, failed completely. The Wurlitzer samples were processed with EQ to cut a lot of the low frequencies out, in order to better sit in a mix as a more midrange instrument, as the bass frequencies were heavily dominant from close micing.

This was the most temperamental instrument we have sampled thus far. This is to be somewhat expected, as a Wurlitzer 200A contains numerous electronic components from the 1970’s that were not designed to last 40+years, such as electrolytic capacitors. Compared to the passive design of a Rhodes piano, there’s simply a lot that can go wrong, which is why we recommend purchasing a Wurlitzer sample library!

The library comes with built-in tremolo and delay, but for finer tuning please check out Adam Monroe’s Tremolo and Adam Monroe’s Delay, free plugins to further customize your sound, as well as Adam Monroe’s Mark 73, for a slightly different electronic piano tone.

ENGINEERING:
Some simple linear distortion was added to the VST , AU, and AAX versions as well as some built-in reverb, chorus, wah, tone, and dampening knobs. Kontakt version has been depreciated, as the VST, Audio Unit, and AAX versions require programming beyond the simple Kontakt player. The goal in any sample library that is also a VSTi (virtual instrument), AU, or AAX plugin is to attempt to match the performance of the Kontakt Player. With this library, we feel like we have done just that.

The VST, Audio Unit, and AAX versions include updated, high-performance algorithms that have been improving with each new virtual instrument released by Adam Monroe Music. For example, the buffering algorithm is double-buffered and multithreaded, which means that buffering performance is fast, even on slower computers, and even in lower latencies. Voices are held and iterated over in a pure, C-Style array. Memory use is around 390MB . Because of the solid VST-AU-AAX code base, you can feel confident that the VST, AU, and AAX versions will work just as well as a Kontakt version.

Why develop a VST, Audio Unit, or AAX version at all? Although a great piece of software, the Full version of Kontakt (required to run 3rd party sample libraries) is expensive. Developing a VST, Audio Unit, or AAX plugin that anyone can use does not add significant time to the development of a Wurlitzer sample library – most of the time is spent sampling and processing the samples – so it’s a real no-brainer.

Audio engineering is a large part of creating a VST, Audio Unit, or AAX plugin, but the sounds of this Wurlitzer library have barely been processed. Low Frequency mud was cut, and the tone can be shaped dramatically by blending between DI and amp signals. Adding distortion, even a small amount, can significantly drive the gain and presence of the signal.

The built-in Tremolo is set to match the classic “vibrato” speed of a Wurlizter electric piano, with variable intensity. The wah knob is matched to the tremolo speed and is a subtle effect. At full level the distortion knob may cause overload and clipping, so it’s best to use the smoothing knob in conjunction.

Descriptions for Adam Monroe Music Rotary Organ v1.3 VST AU AAX OSX-DECiBEL

Adam Monroe’s Rotary Organ was sampled from a Hammond M3 tonewheel Organ. The end goal was to simulate the sound of a Hammondnd B3 organ with rotating Leslie Speaker inside of a VST/AU/AAX plugin. Every drawbar on every note was sampled individually via the organ’s built-in speaker through a Neumann TLM 102 microphone.

The signal was re-amped though a Fender Deluxe Reverb and recorded via a Sennheiser e906. Both signals were run through Grace M101 preamps. A Hammond M3 Organ combines the last two harmonics into a single drawbar, this note was omitted. Instead, a “digital foldback” teqchnique was used to extend the harmonics of the Hammond M3 to be similar to that of a Hammond B3.

The organ’s range was augmented to be similar to that of a Hammond B3. This was accomplished by using the Organ’s pedal tones to add the lower octave notes.

The Leslie Speaker simulation was designed to mimic a real Leslie. The signal is split to a virtual bottom rotor and virtual upper rotor at around 600 Hz. Vibrato, chorus, and panning processing are used to simulate the rotation of the rotors. The upper rotor spins between 48/409 RPM’s and the bottom rotor spins between 40/354 RPM’s. Bottom rotor rotation can be bypassed. The Leslie simulation can also be bypassed.

B3 effects where also digitally simulated and these include percussion, vibrato, and key click. Vibrato scanner is similar to that of a B3 and includes vibrato as well as vibrato+chorus. Key click was simulated by adding random noise to the attack and release samples. Some key click can be heard in the original samples but the effect has been exaggerated. Percussion was simulated in VST as it is in real life: a higher amplitude, percussive decaying sound is added to the instrument via the 2nd or 3rd harmonic. The plugin also includes reverb, braking, variable acceleration, drive/distortion, smoothing, adjustable stereo panning, key-splitting, and preset switching.

The instrument was equalized to sound slightly more aggressive than a typical Hammond organ and therefore has the potential to stand out more in a mix. This can be adjusted with the “smoothing” knob, which will attenuate some of the harsher frequencies

Inside the VST the amp and speaker signals go through preamp/gain staging whether or not the Leslie bypass is engaged. The plugin requires a decent CPU – at least an Intel Core I3. This is because internally each harmonic is being summed for each note – which can include things like percussion and key click – meaning that each note requires upwards of 22 voices. Internally the VST is capped at 330 voices, which is equivalent to 15 notes of polyphony. The voicelist also requires extra processing power, as (unlike a piano or other percussive instrument) each not can be sustained indefinitely, and thus newer notes must work around this limitation.

The plugin also does a fair amount of internal eq and sonic shaping depending on the preset. A great deal of time was spent experimenting and finding useful drawbar settings and eq combinations. There are 32 built-in presets modeled after classic Hammond Organ drawbar settings. You can hear an audio demonstration of these presets in the mp3 section.

The memory footprint of the plugin is around 400 MB. All of the plugin’s samples are loaded into memory upon loading as the plugin is primarily comprised up of looped samples, padded out with short attack and release samples. This means that this particular plugin is not dependent on a fast hard drive as it does not need to buffer samples during execution.

The plugin is designed to work with VST AU and AAX native versions and a Kontakt version was not created. This is because the plugin relies heavily on internal programming – for everything from the Leslie simulation to sample fold-back – that would be impossible to replicate with the Kontakt player’s simple scripting language.

This VST is, essentially, a hybrid between a Hammond M3 and B3 with a more aggressive sound. It is meant to sound a bit unique to already existing plugins and simulations, but with the wide range of parameter combinations, many sounds are possible.

How Does It Work?

Scaler is a plugin instrument capable of outputting MIDI as well as audio. With regard to the latter, a piano, guitars, strings and several sampled synth sounds are built in for scratch work, so you can quickly get a chord progression together for export as a MIDI file entirely within it.

Obviously, though, the idea is to trigger other instruments via Scaler, and how this is set up depends on the host DAW. For VST hosts, Scaler loads as an instrument plugin onto a MIDI track, the output of which is sent to a second track (hosting the target instrument) using the DAW’s routing system.

For Audio Unit hosts (ie, Logic Pro), the included ScalerControl MIDI effect plugin is loaded up instead. This is identical to the regular Scaler, but sits in front of the target instrument on the same track, outputting MIDI directly to it. It’s certainly the more elegant of the two approaches, although it only captures the raw triggering notes to the track, not the chords output by the plugin.
