What’s New in LRTimelapse Pro 5.2 Build 573

Improvements:
  • The importer will now skip .dat index files which for example the Nikon Z7 and Z6 create instead of putting them into a “MISC” folder.
  • In “Visual Preview” mode the keyframe indicators in the preview sometimes were hardly visible. The keyframes are now being displayed more opaque, just like in the camera previews mode.
  • Improved visibility for the visualpreviewcreationstatus bar (below the visual previews) on highdpi displays.
  • Normally, for sequences shot in AMode, the Holy Grail Wizard is deactivated, because such sequences normally come rather smooth from the camera (most cameras do smoothing in AMode, but still write discrete values into EXIF). In such cases the HGWizard would do more harm than good, because it would calculate compensations for “steps” that are not there.
  • However, there seem to be cameras that do not smooth in AMode, therefore I’ve added a Button to the KeyframesWizard which will allow to force the Holy Grail Keyframe creation. The button will only appear for sequences shot in AMode.
  • Redesigned the plus/minus buttons next to the slider controls.
  • Added AltQ as additional shortcut to exit the application.
  • Added a “Delete Holy Grail adjustments” button to the toolbar above the table next to “Delete Deflicker” to delete the holy grail adjustments, if necessary.
  • Any parameter of the LRTimelapse user.props file can now be passed as commandline parameter. To have define a certain start path for example, you could launch LRTimelapse with

Please note, that you might have to use quotation marks, like LRTimelapse “C:temp”, depending on your platform and starting method.
  • Increased the range for the Rotate slider in the Holy Grail Wizard.
Fixes:
  • Sometimes LRTimelapse did not start with the folder tree at the position where it was closed. Fixed.
  • Creating a new folder from the import dialog did not refresh the folder tree, fixed.
  • With an UI Scaling of 2.0, the Keyframes Wizard was cut at the bottom, fixed.

Athentech has released a new product called Perfectly Clear Essentials. This product contains all of the Tone, Color, and Details controls that can give you perfect exposure, great color, and sharp photos with no noise. All of the preset functionality, as well as Creative LOOKs and Corrective Filters, are also unlocked.

  • Includes 32 Useful Presets for fixing most photographic challenges

  • Unlock more features your favorite presets or LOOKs

It is virtually identical to Perfectly Clear Complete except in two ways.
It removes controls for all of the Beautify technology. These adjustments are helpful for portrait and wedding photographers, but not really useful to landscape and travel folks.
It removed the batch export module from Lightroom.

While both of the above are useful, they are designed for pros who need the most time-saving options for processing portraits. If you do need portrait adjustments, you can easily add the Kristina Sherk preset packs or a new forthcoming one from Matthew Jordan Smith.

You can also create your own presets and exchange your favorite settings with other users. This is a great deal if you want the time-saving features as well as advanced technology to unlock perfect exposure and sharper images.

FilmConvert Pro – is a film stock emulation plugin for After Effects, Premiere Pro. Give Digital camera footage the color and grain of your favorite film stocks. We’ve said a lot about the digital versus film debate, and a lot of people have a lot of different opinions. Film still had a technological advantage over digital until really the last few years or so, and now we have digital sensors which can match or exceed film stocks with dynamic range.

First open up After Effects or Premiere.

Create a new project, or open up an existing project.
In the case of a new project, import some media, and drag it onto the timeline (Premiere) or a composition (After Effects).
If in Premiere find the Effects tab. In After Effects, find the Effects menu item.
Go the Film Emulation category, which currently has just one item FilmConvert. Drag the effect onto your media.

You will now see some color changes, grain and FilmConvert water marks on your media!

NOTE: If the Film Emulation category is not visible in Premiere, close Premiere, then re-launch with the Shift and Alt keys held down until the welcome screen appears. This will clear the plugin cache.

Camera Controls

  • Source Camera Selects the camera (or camera type) used to shoot your footage. This setting is required in order to apply the correct color correction.
  • Exposure Performs an adjustment prior to the film emulation being applied.
  • Temp Adjusts the color temperature. This assumes that the clip temp is 5600 (daylight). Moving the slider to the left makes the scene cooler. Moving to the right makes it warmer.

Film Controls

  • Convert To drop down Selects the particular film stock to be emulated.
  • Size drop down Selects the negative size to emulate. Smaller values such as 8mm are fuzzier with larger grain. Larger values have smaller grain.
  • Film Color slider Adjusts the balance between the original digital camera color palette, and the film color palette. Typically you would leave this at 100% film
  • Grain slider Adjusts the amount of grain applied to the image. The default is 100%, which is an accurate representation of the grain for the selected film stocks. Some stocks have more grain such as D3200.
  • Blur Slider Adjusts the amount of blur applied to the image when either an 8mm or 16mm negative size is chosen. The default is 100%, which is an accurate representation of the amount of fuzziness that will be present with the selected negative size. The blur is applied before the grain.

Pixelmator Pro 1.3 Prism introduces a range of handy new features that make creating advanced illustrations and designs easier than ever — layer color tags, filtering and search, clipping masks, quick opacity and blending controls, and much more.

New Features
  • Easily colorcode layers using handy color tags to make important objects easier to spot or bring some extra organization to advanced illustrations and designs
  • With layer filtering and search, finding just the layers you’re looking for is simpler than ever.
  • Filter layers according to layer type (images, text, shapes, and groups), color tags, or both.
  • Quickly adjust layer opacity and blending mode right in the Layers sidebar.
  • Use clipping masks to clip the contents of one layer to the outline of another — even layer groups or nested shapes!
  • Add clipping masks from the shortcut menu in the Layers sidebar, by Optionclicking between two layers, or from the Format menu.
  • Release a clipping mask by doubleclicking the arrow in the Layers sidebar.
  • When using the painting, retouching, or reshaping tools on a layer with Color Adjustments, Effects, or Styles, all nondestructive filters will dynamically update to the layer’s new content and won’t be flattened. This one’s big!
Improvements

Fixes
  • Fixed several blur issues with converting certain kinds of layers (groups and shapes with effects) into pixels.
  • Copying and pasting selected content would sometimes result in blurring. Fixed.
  • On rare occasions, resizing the crop box while holding the Command key would blur the image or leave 1 pixelwide lines at its edges. Fixed.
  • Documents containing many layers with lots of nondestructive styles and effects would sometimes have unwanted vertical and horizontal artifacts. Fixed.
  • The state of the Sample All Layers option would not be remembered when using the Color Fill and Magic Eraser tool. Fixed.
  • Fixed an issue with using percentages to set grid spacing.
  • Fixed an issue with using drag & drop to rearrange paths in shapes made up of only two paths.
  • Several crash fixes improve the stability of Pixelmator Pro.
