Application to mirror the screen and sound of your Mac to Android TV. Works on any TV, settop box or Media Player with the Android TV operating system.

You can also stream individual video files from your Mac to your Android TV. Also, we included the option to watch one window on your Mac, and another window on your TV!

App has been tested to work with:

  • Philips Android TV
  • Sony Android TV
  • Bouygues Bbox Miami

In using the app, there will be a about 2 to 3 seconds of latency (lag). So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.

However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!

The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:
1. Restart your router. Just take out the power plug, wait 10 seconds and put it back in. This resets your router and will make your home network faster and more stable. Why this works? Routers are in essence little computers, with software. Software will have small memory leaks and some processes will stop working correctly over time. That’s why it is a good idea to reset your router once in a while. Our recommendation: once a week.

2. Don’t do network intense work while screen mirroring. As explained, screen mirroring is network intense. For the best performance, don’t do other network intense work at the same time. This includes making timemachine backups over the network and uploading/downloading large files from the internet while screen mirroring.

3. Put your Mac and your Android TV on the same router channel. Some routers (dual band) have create both a 2.4Ghz and a 5Ghz wireless network. For the best performance, put your Mac and your TV on the same network. Preferably the 5Ghz network. But definitely not the Mac on 5Ghz and the TV on 2.4Ghz, because that will negatively impact the performance of screen mirroring.

4. Use an AC or N router. Newer routers support Wifi AC and N. Older routers might only have Wifi B and/or G. B and G are not really up to scratch anymore for modern networking tasks, so go for an AC or N router. If your router supports AC and N, also make sure that your router is set to use either the Wifi N or Wifi AC networking.

How the app works:
First, make sure that your Samsung TV is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. The TV should not be in screen mirroring mode, but just on “TV” Mode or any HDMI IN port.

After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your TV on the network. It will show your TV when it has found it. Now, you have two options:

Mirror your Mac Screen:
Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.

Enable Sound: check this to hear the sound of your Mac coming from the TV. You will need the additional (free) audio driver, which you can download here: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio

Play Video File:
Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.

Having all your visual and audio content up and ready before starting your presentation or commencing a show is crucial: you cannot waste time during a performance looking for various files or resources or making configurations you could have handled before the event.

Mitti is a video cue software that delivers extensive control over the audio and video input and output sources, can work with different cue types and gives extensive control over each resource included in your project.

Video cue software that can deal with content coming from various sources
To start working on a Mitti project, you first need to import the visual content you want to include in the visual presentation. Mitti is able to load video or image files, but you can also connect cameras or Syphon or NDI servers.

You get to import files or folder to the Mitti playlist with drag and drop, and the same rule applies if you wish to reorder the list. Note that each entry comes with its own control bar that enables you to customize the output further.

Adjust the image color, rely on built-in video effects, and get control over the audio output
Via the Mitti Cue Settings panel, you get to adjust the image opacity, brightness, or contrast, and adjust the red, green, and blue proportions. The app also sports an extensive collection of video effects and enables you to set a custom title to each cue.

In addition, you get to toggle the audio, add fade in or fade out effects, replace the visual source, or put the respective cue on loop. Make sure to navigate to the project’s Preferences if you want to adjust the SMPTE frame rate, the fade duration, the timecode input, the audio input, and so on.

Prepare visual representations to be displayed on multiple screens and deliver visual content from multiple sources
Mitti is a video cue software that enables you to prepare video and audio performances ahead of the event. The app can work with video or image files, or you can configure camera or Syphon or NDI servers cues.

What’s more, Mitti can send data to Blackmagic DeckLink or NDI compatible devices or to a Syphon server. The app can also be controlled from a remote location by using the MMC or MSC protocols, or MIDI controllers.

Connect AirPods (or other Bluetooth headphones) to your Mac with a single click or keypress.
AirPods are great, but they don’t work quite as smoothly with Macs as they do iPhones. You can’t tell at a glance whether audio will play from the AirPods or your Mac’s built-in speaker, you have to dig into a Bluetooth submenu to connect, and then you have to go back to the menu to see when the AirPods are ready for use. ToothFairy streamlines this: just click an icon in the menu bar (or press a hotkey) to switch to the AirPods, and the icon always shows whether they’re connected.

  • Works with AirPods, as well as any Bluetooth headphones, speakers, or headset that you can connect to your Mac.
  • Click the hollow AirPods icon in the menu bar to switch to AirPods. It fills in to show they are connected and also displays a battery indicator.
  • Supports multiple Bluetooth audio devices; you can choose a different icon and hotkey for each.
  • Get the best audio quality. macOS will normally use the SCO codec if it thinks you’re going to use the microphone. ToothFairy can ensure that it uses the higher quality AAC codec when you only care about audio output: listening to music or video or playing a game.
  • Disconnect a Bluetooth device by clicking the icon (or pressing the hotkey) again, so that you can switch back to your phone. Note: ToothFairy works with devices that can be connected via the macOS Bluetooth menu. Please make sure the devices you want to connect have been paired to the system correctly before using them with ToothFairy.

  • Fixed a problem where the progress spinner could stay visible forever, even after the device disconnected.
