Whether you are filming a magical fantasy world or an old haunted house, PROPIXIE’s high-resolution composites can help create the atmosphere of your film in a matter of seconds. Adding floating particles to your footage is a great way to give your film a hyper-real quality.

75 ProRes Composites

PROPIXIE consists of 75 ProRes HD particle composites files created by filming real, natural particles. These video files and can be applied and composited onto your footage in any non-linear editing software (such as Final Cut Pro X, Avid, and Adobe Premiere).

Shot at 60 FPS

The PROPIXIE composites were shot at 60fps on super speed lenses to create the best quality videos with the least amount of blur. All the PROPIXIE video composites are ProRes 24fps quicktime files that work inside any non-linear editing system.

Layer to Create Depth

The partcles in the PROPIXIE video files vary in size, speed and focus, so you can layer them to create more depth in your image. This is a great way to give your film a more cinematic feel. With 75 particle techniques to choose from, the combinations are endless!

Compositing Tool for FCPX

Video files can be used in any non-linear editing software, but if you are using it in Final Cut Pro X, you can use the PROPIXIE Blending Tool to help blend and color correct your particles to match your footage. You can even invert the particles footage to create an ash look. The Compositing Tool is free with a purchase of PROPIXIE.

With TransLight users are given seven different styles all fully customizable with infinite possibilities. Within each preset users have the ability to adjust the angle of view, depth of field blur, focus offset, flare color, flare size, flare fall off, flare streak, particle radius, twist, speed, angle randomness, spin randomness, particle offset, particle glow, particle amount, and much more. Each preset was designed separately to imitate physics, all fully customizable all with in Final Cut Pro X.

On-Screen Controls

With TransLight on-screen controls users can adjust the start and end point of each transition effect preset to get a new look each and every time. Users simply click and drag each hockey puck to their desired location and have the choice of setting the animation speed to either constant, ease in, ease out, ease both, accelerate, decelerate, and natural all with a click of a mouse all within Final Cut Pro X.

Designed for FCPX

TransLight was professionally designed to work seamlessly inside of Final Cut Pro X. As a FCPX transition each TransLight preset can be dragged and dropped onto the users footage. With the published parameters found in the FCPX inspector, users have the ability to make adjustments and generate their own light particle transition effect with just a few clicks of a mouse.
