The TotalSpaces application automatically installs all required dependencies at first launch (asks for permission first), and places a small menu in your status bar that allows you to quickly switch between spaces. To help you get around, TotalSpaces sports an overview grid that provides a preview area for each space, allows you to quickly switch between them, and can be activated by using a hotkey. FIXED – 7.1 Issue: Single GOP video files can cause ScreenFlow to hang.
FIXED – 10.13 High Sierra: NVIDIA GPU driver issue can cause the canvas and exported video to show black frames, or display other video corruption.
o ATTENTION: The color correction filter will automatically be disabled on NVIDIA GPU systems running 10.13. This is a temporary workaround for this issue until Apple/NVIDIA releases a fix.

What’s New in BetterTouchTool 2.305

  • Removed Leap Motion support for now (it wasn’t working anymore anyways and I need to focus on the more popular parts in BTT). Maybe this will come back with future versions. If you still rely on it, please don’t update to this version.
  • Removed experimental Wacom tablet support due to issues on High Sierra. This will come back with a future update.
  • You can now rightclick any gesture/trigger and copy a link that let’s you trigger this gesture (e.g. via the terminal command “open”)
  • Added more options to advanced thumb handling
  • If drawing gestures are defined per application but not globally, the feature will be completely disabled unless that app is active.
  • Added new trigger to “Other” section: After Launching on Mac with Serial Number”. This let’s you e.g. switch presets specific to a machine after starting BTT on that machine.
  • Added advanced setting to keyboard shortcuts “Prevent recursive triggers”. This should prevent BTT from triggering itself by a action sent with BTT.
  • Fixed issues with disabling/enabling BTT
  • Improved snap area performance
  • Fixed issue with Clipboard Manager that caused extra lines to be inserted
  • Preparations for upcoming MIDI device support
  • Various small fixes and improvements

An easy to set up macOS application that helps you customize gestures for your Magic Mouse, Macbook Touchpad and the Magic Trackpad

The Apple Magic Mouse, the Magic Trackpad, and the Macbook Trackpad allow the user to use various gestures to control their computer. BetterTouchTool is a small but efficient macOS app designed to help you define shortcuts for your gestures.

Moreover, BetterTouchTool can be used to work with regular mice and keyboard shortcuts, and also provides a companion iOS app: you can employ the mobile device to control the computer.

Clean and organized user interface

After you set up all the shortcuts, BetterTouchTool works in the background, without requiring your attention. However, the BetterTouchTool app does come with a status bar menu that provides quick access to the app’s Settings panel, and it allows you to disable its functions for all apps, or only for the currently selected utility.

The BetterTouchTool Settings panel comes with a simple and an advanced view mode, and allows you to adjust the gestures sensitivity level for each peripheral device. If you choose to enables the Window Snapping feature, each time you drag a window to the screen’s edge, it will be automatically resized.

Define your own shortcuts in no time

In addition, via the Gestures panel, you get to define shortcuts by using Magic Mouse, trackpads, keyboards, or normal mice actions. Note that BetterTouchTool is also able to work with an Apple remote, with a Leap Motion device, or with other gadgets.

Noteworthy is that the new shortcuts can be global (available system wide), or can be specific to a certain application. The latter very useful because BetterTouchTool comes with a finite number of triggers, so you can use the same combinations for different results.
