iCollections is an expertly designed application which helps you keep your desktop organized. Lifespan is intended to address the ever increasing use and reliance on flash-based storage. If you require the most out of your solid state drives or other flash-based storage devices, you can benefit from knowing how much useful life is remaining on those drives. Flash-based storage devices have a finite life, and when they exceed this lifespan, their performance can begin to degrade, or they can stop working entirely. It can be extremely valuable to be aware of the available life remaining, particularly in scenarios where these devices are used vigorously.
Most flash-based storage devices store your data on non-volatile NAND solid state memory. Each cell of this flash memory can only be ‘programmed and erased’ a limited number of times. Drives can have fewer than 2,000 or over 10,000 of these program erase cycles or p/e cycles, depending on the type and quality of the NAND chips used. For a middle of the road solid state drive, this translates into about 100 TB of useful life, but this can vary greatly in either direction. Regardless, for every flash-based storage device, there will come a point when no more data can be stored, and the device will fail.
Lifespan is a macOS Menu Bar application which is designed to monitor the remaining useful life for flash-based storage devices. It will display the remaining useful life for your solid state drive (SSD), and we hope to support CompactFlash and CFast devices soon. The Lifespan menu will display current life usage and will alert you when the device is below the threshold of useful life remaining. Armed with this knowledge, these flash-based storage devices can be retired before the risk of losing data becomes likely.

Version 70 Highlights A fresh look for macOS Big SurWith this release, we’re excited to introduce a UI redesign that fits right in with the new macOS Big Sur design language. It’s the same Sketch you know and love, but with every detail reconsidered — from a full-height sidebar, to a refreshed Inspector, and all-new iconography throughout the app. The biggest change you’ll notice is the toolbar. To make room for Big Sur’s new inline document titles, we’ve introduced a new default toolbar and combined some items to keep things clean and uncluttered. As ever, you can change your toolbar items at any time by heading to View > Customize Toolbar…. If you can’t upgrade to Big Sur just yet, don’t worry. We’ve spent time making sure that things still look and feel great in older versions of macOS.
What’s improved
Alongside our Big Sur redesign, we’ve improved the contrast between different parts of our UI if you have relevant macOS Accessibility settings enabled.
You can now alter between the grid view and list view once again for Color Variables in the popover
There’s now an option to insert Data sources as new layers from the Insert menu. And, when you select a layer that uses Data, you’ll see a new Data icon in the Inspector. Click on that to refresh that layer’s Data source or pick a new one.
We’ve made it quicker and easier to repeat and create grids from layers. Simply select two or more layers and drag on the new handle that appears in the bottom-right corner of your selection.
What’s changed
The controls for the Make Grid tool (Arrange > Make Grid) now appear in their own view in the Inspector instead of a sheet that appears over your Canvas.
On macOS Big Sur, we’ve combined the view and zoom toolbar items to keep things tidy. The same options are still there, just together in one place. On older versions of macOS, you’ll continue to see these as two separate items.

AudioSwitcher is a menu bar that allows you to switch quickly between all available input and output devices. In addition you can change the volume of any device without having to change your current input / output.
You can quickly change the sample rate or output to multiple devices at the same time.
Using the preferences screen you can choose to ignore certain devices, set a default start-up input or output device as well as it’s volume.
AudioSwitcher supports any device available to the system: AirPlay, USB, HDMI, Thunderbolt, Bluetooth etc.
AudioSwitcher is ideal if you have multiple sound devices attached to your Mac and want to be able to switch between them without having to use System Preferences.
It’s great for a home theatre set-up allowing selection of default devices (and their volumes) on start-up as well as allowing you to quickly route output to AirPlay devices in one click.
