The initial panel gives you an estimate of how much space can be regained, but to actually  perform the cleaning you must carry out multiple scans in the “Cleanse” area.

Remove cache, logs, histories and more

The MacCleanse Quick Scan is able to find cache files, chat histories, crash logs, user logs, file histories, trash content, web cache, web cookies, download histories, web form values, web histories, web search histories, and web session settings.

You can view all the detected files organized by category, deselect the ones you want to keep, and then press the “Delete” button to get rid of the junk.

Correctly uninstall apps and find orphan files

MacCleanse includes an uninstaller function that is able to detect all the files associated with a specific application: this way you can make sure that when you remove a certain utility, all the related settings files are also deleted.
