  • Fixed some bugs related to dark mode on iOS
  • Bug where the conversion of a publication to a web reader sometimes failed
  • Number of inconsistencies in the entitlement and paywall screens on iOS and Android
  • Bug where the table-of-contents didn’t work on iOS
  • Couple of preview problems on Android
  • Fixed some bugs related to custom URL schemes which weren’t working when used in a browse grid
  • Fixed the missing launch image for Android article-based apps
  • Bug with the positioning of web overlays on iOS

What’s New in Twixl Publisher Pro 9.0

  • The Twixl Distribution Platform now has a tool which automates the conversion of issue-based apps to article-based
  • Please note that a license for the “Entitlement Pack” is required for this option.
  • We have made the way the PDF files work in the app on Android much more similar to the iOS behaviour
  • The iOS apps are now built with the latest version of Xcode
  • Fixed a number of upgrade bugs when updating from e.g. a version 5.x app to a 9.x app
  • The Maps widget now requires a Google API key to work on Android
  • Advanced Scripting now allows you to filter the content items and collections which are visible in your app based on a JavaScript script. This allows you to apply custom business logic to decide which content is visible in the app or not based on a number of parameters:
    • Show content based on whether you are entitled or not
    • Show content based on the type of device your are consuming the content on
    • Show content based on the geographical location of the user
    • By setting custom variables which allow e.g. selection of a language…
    • By executing a HTTP request to an external system to enrich the information on which you can filter
