Nitrate’s film stock emulations are based on a selection of our favorite film stocks, scientifically built to bring authentic film looks to your footage. Nitrate analyzes the camera you shot on and adapts the film stock to your particular camera’s color science, which provides more accuracy when grading.
and Cineon Log Film Emulation
For more control over your final image in Nitrate, we’ve added Cineon LOG versions of our original film stock emulations. This means you can dial the contrast and saturation of our film stocks back to your liking while keeping the authentic film stock colors.

We’ve designed full custom curve controls for each of Nitrate’s film stocks, so you can exactly create the look you want. Modify highlight and shadow roll-offs, or adjust different channels to design your own film stock. Nitrate uses a full LOG image processing pipeline, so you can retrain the full dynamic range of your footage through the grading process.
