For those who made some 3D creations using various specialized software solutions and need to work on them without having to install each program again, a utility like Metasequoia can be the right choice. This application manages to provide a strong set of features and make them available from a really friendly interface. There are several modes to operate Metasequoia, namely Beginner, Modeling (string), Modeling (icon) and Mapping.

Each of these styles comes with its commands for editing the loaded model, setting the appropriate lighting and more. There is a wide variety of objects that you can select and insert in the design, as well as some tools that are meant for modifying the model you are working on.

The editing function that Metasequoia is equipped with are rather basic, but, nonetheless, cover all the necessary actions for handling objects, material faces and vertices. Each selected portion of the design can be fixed, stored or restored when needed, as well as fit to view or set as center of rotation.

There are many customizations that can be made to the application from the ‘Configuration’ area, so you can assign, for instance, various actions to mouse buttons and key combinations. Texture rendering imperfections and some glitches that may occur can be avoided by adjusting the Direct3D and OpenGL preview options.

All things considered, Metasequoia seems to be a worthy alternative to more complex utilities of its kind, especially thanks to the ease of use coupled with a good support for a variety of formats this software is able to work with.

When using this app with a Chromecast 1, the Screen Mirroring will start about 30 seconds after you start mirroring, please wait during this startup time. Chromecast 2 and Ultra are much faster to start.

In using the app, there will be a about 2 to 3 seconds of latency (lag). So this mirroring is not suitable for gaming.

However, it is very suitable for watching movies, giving presentations, watching photos, and much more!

The quality of your experience will be dependent on the quality of your local network. Some tips to enhance the experience:

1. Restart your router. Just take out the power plug, wait 10 seconds and put it back in.

This resets your router and will make your home network faster and more stable. Why this works? Routers are in essence little computers, with software. Software will have small memory leaks and some processes will stop working correctly over time. That’s why it is a good idea to reset your router once in a while. Our recommendation: once a week.

2. Don’t do network intense work while screen mirroring.

As explained, screen mirroring is network intense. For the best performance, don’t do other network intense work at the same time. This includes making timemachine backups over the network and uploading/downloading large files from the internet while screen mirroring.

3. Put your Mac and your Chromecast on the same router channel.

Some routers (dual band) have create both a 2.4Ghz and a 5Ghz wireless network. For the best performance, put your Mac and your TV on the same network. Preferably the 5Ghz network. But definitely not the Mac on 5Ghz and the TV on 2.4Ghz, because that will negatively impact the performance of screen mirroring.

4. Use an AC or N router. Newer routers support Wifi AC and N.

Older routers might only have Wifi B and/or G. B and G are not really up to scratch anymore for modern networking tasks, so go for an AC or N router. If your router supports AC and N, also make sure that your router is set to use either the Wifi N or Wifi AC networking.

How the app works:

First, make sure that your Chromecast is on the same local network and same subnet as your Mac. After launching the app, you will see the app icon appearing in the top bar of your Mac and the app will look for your Chromecast on the network. It will show your Chromecast when it has found it. Now, you have two options:

Mirror your Mac Screen:

Use this option to put the screen of your Mac on TV. In source, you can select which screen (or attached monitor) you want to display on TV. If you are running multiple applications on your Mac, you can also select which application window you want to see on TV.

Enable Sound: check this to hear the sound of your Mac coming from the TV. You will need the additional (free) audio driver, which you can download here: http://bit.ly/MirrorAudio

Play Video File:

Use this option if you have a video file on your Mac and you want to play just the file on TV. Drop it in the box and it will play on TV.

3. Put your Mac and your Roku on the same router channel. Some routers (dual band) have create both a 2.4Ghz and a 5Ghz wireless network. For the best performance, put your Mac and your TV on the same network. Preferably the 5Ghz network. Orange Tree Samples Evolution Sitardelic v1.1.68 KONTAKT UPDATE

The electric sitar was introduced in the late 60’s, imitating the sound of a traditional sitar by using a special bridge and resonance strings. Undoubtedly a specialty instrument, the electric sitar is typically used in classic rock and modern jazz/fusion styles of music. The model we sampled for Evolution Sitardelic has a semi-hollow pine body with a masonite top, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and classic “lipstick” single-coil pickups. Its full octave of drone strings add extra resonance and body to the tone of the guitar.

Changes in the update:

1. Strumming pattern bug fix.

The last update we released allowed strumming patterns to sync with tempo changes. Unfortunately it also introduced a bug where, depending on the timing of the pattern keys, it would occasionally skip a beat in the pattern, causing the playback to sound consistently out of sync.

2. New guitar cabinet model.

We took the opportunity to add a new guitar cabinet to the collection called “1×12 Rattlesnake”. This particular cabinet is a model Carlos Santana is known for playing.

JustBroadcaster YTEd also comes with a collection of predefined templates that have different layouts, and when you create a new scene, you must use one of them. Since each area in a scene design can use a different source, you will have the option to put multiple windows or camera feeds together with minimal effort.

Broadcast live to your YouTube account while also recording the video

JustBroadcaster YTEd offers you the possibility to record your videos, and you get the change to specify the output folder and the video and audio bitrate for the capture. The utility saves the recordings to MOV files.

Unfortunately, during our tests, we have encountered issues while trying to broadcast to a YouTube account via Mozilla Firefox, so if you are having any issues, just try another web browser. The feature worked very well when using Safari.

Studies (was Mental Case) is a flashcard app for the serious student, with editions for Mac, iPhone and iPad. It’s a tool to extend your knowledge, and it doesn’t matter what it is you want to learn – medicine, law, history, driving, aviation, fine art, music, or martial arts – from simple day-to-day tidbits, to knowledge of life changing importance. Studies is an app to help you achieve your learning goals.

  • Study Notes – Studies allows you to turn the information you need to learn into study notes, similar to traditional flashcards, but much more powerful. Notes can include as many sides as you like, each of which can contain text, images, audio, and even video. You can create your own, or download shared sets from Quizlet.com.

You can also import and export standard text formats like CSV and TSV, which are supported by many flashcard web sites.
  • Mental Case Migration – Studies is the next generation of the app Mental Case. If you have been using Mental Case on your Mac or iOS device, you can migrate all of your data, including the study history and scheduling, to Studies when you first launch. You should even find your data takes up much less space in Studies than it did in Mental Case.
