Overview
Watches folders on your Mac and automatically uploads and synchronizes them when it detects any changes with a FTP, FTPS or SFTP server of your choice
Yummy FTP Watcher aims to provide a trouble free solution for automatically synchronizing folders between your Mac and an FTP or WebDAV server.
The Yummy FTP Watcher app can automatically detect if there are any changes to the local or remote folder and, depending on your configuration, can either upload or download data without requiring user supervision.
Connect to an FTP server and define the folders you want to monitor
Within the Yummy FTP Watcher main window, you get to review the status of your watchers and quickly configure new ones. First off, you need to set up the server connection by providing the address and your account’s credentials.
Note that Yummy FTP Watcher provides support for multiple transfer protocols: FTP, SFTP, FTPS, WebDAV, or WebDAVS. At the same time, you also get to use SSH keys to secure the transfer.
The next step is to select both the local and remote folder you want to work with and specify the synchronization mode: mirror, update server, update Mac, auto upload, auto download, or auto upload and archive.
Monitoring tool that can keep local and server folders in sync
Additional configuration options enable you to connect to the server by using a proxy, to change the server type and encoding or decide if you want to synchronize the dates.
Furthermore, Yummy FTP Watcher can compare if the file sizes and dates match or delete orphans during the synchronization. You can also set the default action after the transfer and configure a custom archive history folder.
Note that you can see all the configured watchers and decide if you want them active or not via the Yummy FTP Watcher main window. If you plan to allow the app to run completely unsupervised, you ought to consider activating the logging function via the Preferences.
User-friendly and time efficient synchronization solution that integrates scheduling capabilities
To sum up, Yummy FTP Watcher offers you the possibility to transfer data to and from any folder from a remote server without manually dealing with the task each time.
After the initial configuration, Yummy FTP Watcher will handle the job on its own as long as the watchers are active. At the same time, Yummy FTP Watcher can also work on a pre-defined schedule.
